I got emotional when I see you made it to the top with the Taiwan flag! what an accomplishment, congratulations! Thank you for taking your viewers along! ❤️
@@LayersOfJenn I'm glad Annie helped spur you on to this, and I'm so glad you recorded it! I've been to Alishan numerous times, but never to Yushan! It's nice to see how much more is involved with Yushan compared to Alishan and to see the view from there and along the way. And, to echo Annie, excellent music choice! Do you know what the piece is called that was playing during the sunrise? 🤔
@@peterammermann1845 It is this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0AnFfbTupEU.html I pay for epidemic sounds so, its music i use from them!
During Taiwan was in Japanese ruling era, Mount Jade was called New High Mountain because it was much higher than Mount Fuji. Immediately before Japanese attacked Harbor Pearl, the Japanese authority concerned issued the signal code to Japanese militaries everywhere and ordered to ' climb to the top of the New High Mountain '. That's the beginning of the Second World War. When you reached the top of Mount Jade, you looked on the cloud nine.
Out of all ur vids that I watched, this one made me emotional. Idk why but I am so proud of you conquering that highest peak here in TW. More cute contents to wait from you ❤
So jealous of your trip to that mountain.... You have been to the place that most of Taiwanese have never been. And I like the way you edited this episode. Very unique.
You did it Jen! Congratulations again on the acomplishment, the hardwork and the memories made 🖤 The view was really breathtaking, worth almost dying xd
OMG I got so emotional seeing the summit with the music you chose! Such a cool video and experience!!!! Good job, Jenn! It’s amazing to see things I will never see in my lifetime. Thanks so much for sharing this with us! What a magical and rewarding trip. Also, where did you get your headbands from? I need those.
It s so inspiring seeing you reaching the peak of the mountain together with your companions. It takes effort to achieve anything of worth. Your adventure will surely help others get out of their daily confort and try something new for a lifetime memory ❤❤ As for me, you managed to provoke my adventure spirit 🌄
First and last time you’ll climb a mountain made me laugh because that’s how I felt over Yushan too. My dad took me to hike it when I was 13 like 20 years ago. Except he’s a backpacker so he made me carry a sleeping bag, food, portable cookware with us. Then instead of staying at Paiyun, we went past it and headed along the ridge to a different part of Yushan (maybe east face?). I was fine up until after Paiyun when the altitude sickness finally hit me and I threw up a couple times and had to rest every 10 feet or so. Eventually we camped in basically a wooden open hut type thing. It was cold. The next day we went back towards the summit, past it to the north peak and stayed at the weather station. Finally the day after that we did the actual summit and went down the mountain. At least by that point I had acclimated. But it was very rough and that was the first and last time my dad made me backpack 😂 I can do 7-10 hour hikes but never again do I want to do a multi day one This vid def brought back memories. I think I would consider revisiting Yushan as an adult and do the saner stop at Panyun, instead of going past for another 3-4 km.
Good job. I don't have the courage and stamina to try this. I tried Hehuan east peak once but it is nothing comparable to Jade Mt. Great experience but never again.
Very excited, your video take me back to June, I climbed Yushan first time before 40 years old, walked for 14 hours without any sleep, very touched when arrived the top. I like your video and the part of marriage proposa, so sweet.
Giving all the props! You have amazed us with this video. Don't take personal if we thought you were more of a "city" pampered gal who preferred not to step outside of the comfort zone. But you proved us wrong. Amazing accomplishment Jenn! Well done!
That’s funny bc I grew up playing sports my whole life in Canada, camping every summer, and paddling K1 at nationals level 🤣 I do live a gold city though !
HELLO Travel Channel!!!!!!!! You need this girl. Yeah I just watched this again and it’s just as amazing as the first time; you’re so good at YT and getting shots and sharing information and everything. You need a contract ;) xo from MI
Visiting Mount Kinabalu Sabah with a height of 4095 meters is a must next time. Even though I've been there three times already, the view remains fantastic.
The Beautiful views up there make the hike so worth it. But some parts of the trail did look rather treacherous being so close to a steep drop and with loose stones. Awesome trip. Thanks for posting. Maybe sometime head over to Maui Island in Hawaii and hike Haleaka volcanoe, and Kiluea on the Big Island. Very cool.
Wow! Thanks for an amazing upload & will add to bucket list. Hey what happened to the Canadian flag? 😁. P.S. I wouldn’t recommend anyone watch this until after your breakfast or u will be seriously disappointed after that Cha-Yi cold noodles plate. Have a great week to all.
