Join me as I suffered up my first 2 Colorado 14,000 footers! This was difficult and humbling as someone from sea level. Austin did a great job getting me up the mountains and he made beautiful wood signs for us at the top. Check out his channel and subscribe, it’s linked below.

Hey Gabi, what an epic adventure, so thankful to be a part of it! Your first trip to Colorado, only a few days to acclimate to altitude and you climbed two 14ers! So proud of you, awesome job! I had my concerns at the start with how we were feeling (happy there was a toilet at the trailhead, lol), then the weather started looking questionable, and it took a while to find some mountain goats, but in the end everything worked out, and we had a great day. Looking forward to the next one!

Well done, I was gasping for air just watching y'all climb up there. Great to have a "local" show you how it's done, and he was wearing a heavy fur coat while doing it.

Thank you! Yes the locals guided us around nicely 😂😂

Such beautiful views! Another adventure for you is to take the narrow gauge train that runs between Durango and Silverton, get off at the first stop at Needleton, and backpack up to Chicago Basin. I think I remember several 14’s in that area. In any event it also is a wonderful wilderness. Great video, thanks.

That was amazing! You conquered those two 14ers . Fantastic!;Such a difference from the east!! Do the elevation gains seem more daunting as you climb since you can see the whole landscape in front of you? Cool goats!!

Thank you Becky! it was so cool to see such different terrain. I wouldn’t say it gets daunting, I liked the change of seeing everything around me. The goats were amazing

As a Pepto-blazer, I felt the stomach issues comment to my core lol. Nice hikes regardless. Hell of a lot different from back east.

I don't understand you abandoned the Long Trail in Vermont? Then travel to Colorado?
@gabicerrahikes
@gabicerrahikes Месяц назад
I made a video about what happened with the long trail, if you’re really curious you can watch that. Recap is I had a time constraint to get it done, had to get off the heal a minor injury (then planned on going back) then I got sick. that took away the time I needed and split me and my hiking partner up. Decided to go on a new adventure with my remaining time off when I felt better

@@gabicerrahikes I did watch the video where you hurt your back. I hope you finish the Vermont trail someday.
@gabicerrahikes
@gabicerrahikes Месяц назад
@@jackcakeblack Yes, that would be nice! The long trail was just a side quest, my bigger goal is finishing the Appalachian trail, anyways. I have about 650 miles done that I’ve vlogged if you’re interested in long distance hiking content. Thanks for watching the videos I did put out!
