CLIMBING Hohgant via East Ridge!! 

I started in Bumbach on the mountain path towards Luterschwändiegg. Then i followed the north ridge up to the Hohgant massif (not marked and very steep!). After a crossing secured with a steel rope you find yourself on the east ridge.
The climbing begins here with a difficulty level of max. UIAA 2. The ridge is exposed in most places and is not for the faint of heart. The tour over the east ridge to the Furggegütsch is therefore rated T6- by the SAC. Descent on the (partly) marked mountain path to the crossing with the steel rope. Then back on the north ridge on the same route into the valley.
The tour was very long and tiring. Lots of meters up and down. As an alternative, you can also start the tour from Alp Lompach / Schwarzbach.
