I watched on 18.09.2022.searching Kilimanjaro videos.because an INDIAN vlogger climbing KILIMANJARO now. He is a South Indian TELUGU vlogger ,the first ever indian to climb it.good video.keep doing
Amazing experience. We summitted in Aug 2019 via the Lemosho route - not a patch of snow on the summit, well except for the glaciers! The porters and the guides are the stars of the show - without them, there is no summitting!!
Loved your video girls, well done. I'm doing it next year and so looking forward to the challenge. Great camera shots, good music and loved your personality. Thank you for sharing ☺
Congratulations 🎊 🌟 🤗 on a great video, and on achieving your goal of reaching the summit of the stunning Kilimanjaro! I love how authentic you girls are, and the amount of detail you included. ❤️ Love from New Zealand. 😊
CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS 💞. Well done. Great video 👌. One of not many which doesn't sound scary and impossible to climb Kilimanjaro. I am 62, currently in Arusha and I feel like I am now obsessed with this beautiful mount. Kind regards 👋.
Congratulations ladies!!! You can be more than proud of yourselves, this is an amazing accomplishment, a once in lifetime for only a few in this world. You are both in this elite group of human beings now!
I really LOVED this video! I watched a video from a guy who couldn’t summit but his video was so depressing and sad. He didn’t smile once and was with a big group but didn’t seem to have a connection with the others. Thats why I loved this video!! You were soooo positive and mostly happy. Of course with ups and downs but thats part of the trip. .
Good job girls and nice video! I did the Machame route in 6 days a month before you! I am definitely jealous about the weather you had... We had so much rain and snow! Great achievement, you are part of the club too!
I am super scared and nervous, but a few days ago I booked this for August, 2021. I love that you shared so much in this video. Thank you for making it. I need to inspire myself every day, and this is a good beginning. Hakuna Matata.
Well done ladies, our team of 4, youngest 54 oldest 61, made the summit on 30 Sep 2019 (8 days). We had less rain and lots more people on the trail.Your video was great reminding me of our the jurney and yes slow wins.
This is a huge thing to do on my bucketlist!! I wanna go so bad, but I wanna make it to the summit so I have been doing loads of research on altitude sickness.
Beautiful looking country, two beautiful young ladies....whats not to like. Curious...with that accent where are you from? hanks for taking us along on your great adventure....Ill never think of sending an email the same again.
Great video. I'm going in September, Corona willing. It sounds like you brought a ton of charging ability, 20, 18 and 15. Gopro batteries typically don't last long on a charge. How did you find yours did with the cold weather? What else were you charging besides the camera, and maybe your phone?
Hello! I hope you get to go in September.. fingers crossed! I was only charging my GoPro and my phone. Honestly, I barely used my phone so I didn't even have to charge it every night. To keep my electronics warm, I kept them with me in my sleeping bag during the night. It's my best advice! Have fun and good luck on the climb! :)
@Annick Lemay Thanks!! Hoping for the best with all of the current craziness. I have my 13 and 17h going and coming flights booked. Not looking forward to 17h on a plane, but hopefully it'll be worth it! 🙂
Thank you! Good luck on the hike! Diamox helps with altitude a lot but does give quite a big headache so maybe wait and assess in your first few days to see if you need to take them or not 😊
Congratulations, girls! I'm preparing for my summit on February 25th, 2020. Tell me please, where were your backpacks on the summit night? What kind of stuff do you taking with you?
Hey! Good question. Our guide actually carried our backpacks for us during summit night because he knew it would make it easier for us. The only things we were carrying in there for that night were water, extra warm pads and a few snacks. Good luck on the hike! It’s one of the best experiences ever for sure!
Hi Annick! Thank you for sharing your blog! I really like the content I am so amazed by all the blogs that you posted. I noticed that you added a video on your latest post. It made a whole lot of difference. It got me really excited to travel the world. Thanks for the inspiration, I'm an instant subscriber please make more videos! What camera are you using?
Thank you so so much!! I am glad you enjoyed the video and my Kilimanjaro series on the blog! I will make more videos when we can start traveling again! For this I used my GoPro!
Congratulations on making it to the top! I'm doing the 6 day Machame route next year, I'm a bit worried about the kissing rock part as it looks very scary! Is it as bad as it looks? Is there a massive drop off point? x
I assume you had no problems in the end, as Annick says. It is the only "technical" part of the climb, but is not at all that bad as long as you aren't dumb about it and don't mess around.
Congrats!! We just did Machu Picchu and this is next on the list! I loved your attitudes the whole way. What made you choose the Lemosho Route? Trying to plan. Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply! We chose Lemosho because it’s the more scenic route and is the easiest route to acclimatize to the altitude (apparently)! I 100% recommend it! ◡̈
Do you have a video/ list in what you wore over the seven days. So hard to get a sense of this for women. Loved the video. Got a good sense of your personalities and sense of humor.
Thank you very much! We did not do much preparation for this. We are both in decent physical shape. I think starting to prepare for this a few months before is very realistic 😊
I’ll be doing this exact route next January the 8 day hike. I’ve watched loads of videos and all the locals look amazing. Did you do any pre-acclimatisation before hand. This has been on my bucket list for a few years now and the dream is soon to become reality. And what operator did you use. Thanks x
Hey Ryan! No we did not do any acclimatization beforehand. We did take the diamox pills during the hike though and that helped us a lot. Good luck on the hike 😊
That’s awesome! Good luck! I brought 3 Paul portable chargers and 2 full GoPro batteries with me and I had more than enough, I even let our guide use one of my chargers. Keep all your electronics with you in your sleeping bag overnight so they don’t get cold and loose power 😊
