In fact the 2 refuges on the top of the mountain are more popular. The view from there is spectacular, you can stay there and look at the Throne of Zeus the whole day. There is another fact. If you stay on higher altitudes it's easier to get on the peak (Mt. Mytikas) and go down in the same day.
Wow, this is, like, one of my biggest dreams to do, because I am such a big fan of Percy Jackson, and that's all based on Greek mythology. But I never expected it would take that long, or be that big, I thought you could just go up and come back down in a few hours.
Hey, I am thinking of doing this hike for my 30th. How much stuff did you bring with you? Doesn't it look like you have a backback on? i'd like to do it over 2 days and sleep at the refuge. I'd like to do the full hike like you and not get a lift from Litochoro to Prionia. I read on Alltrails that a bridge has collapsed. Is there a way to cross without taking a bridge (since i wouldn't want to to turn back hours into my hike to get a lift lol) Thanks for your enlightning video. Regards

jemima! so glad i saw this . i climbed the highest peak a few years ago, loose rock scared the crunchies outta me. the peak you did is awesome and maybe way safer, want to take my daughter that route. tommy

thanks! I just did it in Nike runners which is how I do all my hikes (I hate travelling with too many shoes haha). A lot of people did have hiking shoes but I found it fine in sneakers with good support
No. That’s Skolio peak, the second highest peak in the Olympus. Yesterday I had been there. Interestingly, all alone at the summit when I was there. 😂 If you make it, don’t forget to write your name in the visitor book kept there. 😊 It was really awesome hike, highly recommend.
Just a fight with my gf. We’re going to Athens in September and she wanted to this one. I was ok with it at first but then I read it takes more than one day so I said no. Is it possible to do it in one day?
