Great info Bono! I’m starting to climb more at work, and researching multi sender options. if/when I get to try a uni, I will appreciate your tips about when to grip vs wrap.
@@BinoH yeah, super keen to try out the Akimbo. I climb on the Petzl ZZ + Chicane & the Hitch climber setup with the Rope Wrench configuration, plus the Unicender when it shines.
@@BinoH Then I can order a rope wrench and add it to my arsenal! I go for the friction cords and have already placed the order but now it is the Rope Wrench Squirrel FLEX Tether ISC with tool hook
Fun fact ..the unicender was made for MRS.was discovered later it'd works best and is mostly and only used for SRS...taking a wrap to decend..definitely not for beginners as it will not stop .therr is a strumming technique used on srs..invented by Paul cox...its best to start with biggest rope possible then over time and wear switch to smaller ropes like bluemoon. However it will flatten your ropes ..have blessed day...thanks
Hi there! Surely thinner ropes first, larger diameter later - to compensate for wear?! No? Can you give some more details about the 'strumming technique' you mentioned? Any handy links or sites you can point us to? Thank you:)
