How to remember which 'T' bone is where: -Triquetrum is the third bone, (in the SLTPHCTT mneumonic), so TRI-quetrum. -Trapizeum boarders the thumb, so TrapeziUM and ThUMB. (Trapezi-thumb). -Trapizoid is the one left over. Hope this helps :)
Thirty seven years into a career in medicine and often find the need to refresh and review my knowledge base. You are the best teacher of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry that I have ever some across in many years of training and CME! You are a gift to all who study the human body and my first go to if I am looking to learn more! Thank you!
First thing is the mistakes you made and you corrected them yourself and told us too so that we can clearly understand. I appreciate your honesty and the content you described was totally amazing . Second thing is I am watching your video's since high school ...your way of explanation is totally amazing from others and this is what makes you different. 👍👍💯
It was sheer luck that I came through your video recently while surfing on youtube. Its awesome. You are a blessing to many.Greatly helps in Revision and the Images are so clear and detailed.Everything is so good. Thanks for sharing your time and talent.
I beleve the mnemonic he told ie. So long to pinky here comes the thumb Actually give you a idea by word pinky and thimb its related to hand So in future if you try to remeber it will help you in understanding its for carpal bones While problem with the she looks so preety mnemonic is ultimately when you will study head or abdomen you may get confused what was that mnemonic for
You can't imagine how helpful this was! You make it seem so easy - in our school we have to study Anatomy all by ourself without any lessions by our teachers - you see, I'm really happy there is someone who can explain it to me!
A great way to remember the initials of the carpal bones: "Some Lovers Try Positions That They Can´t Handle". Scapoideum, Lunatum, Triquetrum, Pisiform, Trapezium, Trapezoid and Hamate.
0:35 As you mention later in the video, that bone is called the h. PISIFORMIS. Pisiformis means “shaped like a pea”. Piriformis, on the other hand, means “shaped like a pear”, which that bone is not. 4:07 That tendon you drew belongs to the m. Flexor Digitorum Profundos, as it is the only forearm muscle that goes to the distal phalanges of the fingers ii-v. Also, the m. Palmaris Longus inserts itself in the flexor retinaculum. Lastly, that muscle in particular is a pretty crappy anatomical reference, since about 1/6 of people don’t have it (and none of us really need it). 8:39 As you are saying, that bone is NOT a metatarsal, is a metacarpal.
There are several components to treating ovarian cysts naturally. One place I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Litzy remedy tactics (google it if you're interested) it's the best blueprint i've heard of. look at the great information .
I learned the carpal bones phrase: “So long the pinky, here comes the thumb”. I like that one because the pisiform in on the pinky side and the trapezium is on the thumb side.
Nice video! One correction, I think the ulnar nerve (both motor and sensory branches) passes ulnarly by hook of hamate, and ulnar artery passes hm radially.
8:51 INTO THE VIDEO THE DIAGRAM SHOULD BE LABELED METACARPAL, NOT METATARSAL. THE ART WORK AND PENMANSHIP IS AMAZING AND VERY HELPFUL! THE EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF WRIST ANATOMY IS PROFOUND!
If you take a=1 b=2....z=26 then H =8 and there are 8 carpal bones. A=1 for 1 thumb. D =4 for 4 fingers. 1+4 =5 for 5 metacarpals. N =14 for the 14 phalanges. So the word HAND contains the anatomy of the hand. HAND = 8+1+14+4=27 for the 27 bones of the hand. CHIN = 34 = JAW. Find out more on English Gematria for wow discoveries.
here we have very few opportunities to love.... no opportunity for lovers....so we prefer .............she looks too pretty try to catch her....ur n our phrase actually represent two cultures
Hi, first of all, i commend you for making such a fantastic video and presentation. However, I have a query; I believe you mismatched the order in which the upper finger bones are aligned. You mentioned in the video that the "Trapezoid which ends with a (d) comes first before the Trapezium, which ends with an (m)." I may be wrong but having looked at all the anatomy and physiology diagrams available online on the finger bones. The Trapezium comes before the Trapezoid. Kindly advise
Very nice video, you inspired me to open my own channel on Anatomy, guess what, even my video on anatomy hand with 3 D animation has come good.... Thanks man you rock
Great video. Fun to watch you draw it out. In the beginning you have the pisiform labeled as piriformis and 2/3 through you label a metacarpal as a metatarsal. Can you fix these?
Sir I will be very thankful to you if u make a video lecture on superficial and deep fascia of palm of hand ....as early as possible......I am much confused in it
This is what I wanted to know !!! You are brilliant .....I can’t bend my right big finger or move wrist to the right. I fell on my right hand and it is fracturef
My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.
Hi Armando! Love the videos! I was wondering if you could make a video specifically on nitroglycerin and its affects in conditions such as angina, chf, acute pulmonary edema, etc. Thanks!
i just wanna know what the palm part unter the ounky is called.. like the site that you would use to bang at a table with your closed fist when your mad...
Actually, I think your drawings of sections by a horizontal plane should be all inverted. I think that because of the anatomical position and "a rule" that wants the horizontal sections to be viewed (and depicted) from bottom to top (as in MRI)

Question : At time 4:16, I can see the palmaris longus drawn in the hand picture. If I look at my right hand the same way, I can also see my palmaris longus. On my right hand, just next to it slightly to the left is another very visible tendon. Does anyone know what tendon that is? If I trace that tendon up the arm, it seems to run all the way to the inner elbow (to the left side of my right elbow if I have my arm extended palm up). Thanks.
That far upfront is only tendon m. flexor digitorum superficialis and i belive that that one is for digitorum media (middle finger)... Maybe someone smarter will help us, i'm not 100% sure
Ok, as a medical student I can tell you that a) you can see your palmaris longus (if you have it, around 1 in 6 people don’t!) very well when you put your pinky and thumb together and flex your wrist b) the other tendon that you can see is necessarily a superficial one. There are 3 (or 2 if you don’t have the palmaris longus) superficial tendons in the flexor compartment of your wrist. The one that’s closer to the thumb is the flexor carpi radialis (which is, most likely, what you see in your wrist) and the one that’s closer to the pinky is the flexor carpi ulnaris, which most people can’t see, but you can feel it c) the tendon drawn in the video is not of the palmaris longus, but of the flexor digitorum profundus
I removed a tumour called schwannoma few months ago. It grew in my inner left arm. After the biopsy, I'm confronting lost of sensation from my ring and little finger same goes to my palm. I don't feel any temperature and texture. Some doctors said that could be the damage of my nerve and ulnar but I don't know what exactly is the problem. I don't plan to exploration. May I know what is the most possibility that lead to my palm and fingers lost of sensory motor?
