Hi. Thanks a lot for making these videos. I dont understand this piece of code: 'if . lt trtsdt le astdt le trtedt14 then trtemfl = "Y"; if . lt astdt lt trtsdt then prefl = "Y"; Why are we using missing values here. Wont it give the same results if the code is like this: 'if trtsdt le astdt le trtedt14 then trtemfl = "Y"; if astdt lt trtsdt then prefl = "Y";

The code you suggested will work but it will inadvertently flag the cases where trsdt is null or astdt/trtsdt are null. If you choose to use the code you mentioned, you need to add an additional condition of "trtsdt ne . and trtedt14 ne . and astdt ne ." along with current logic on first if statement.

If we have some information captured in SUPP domains, and if we need that for analysis, we will merge supplementary dataset to parent dataset while creating ADaM datasets. In ADSL video, you might have noticed that we merged DM with SUPPDM. In ADAE, I did not have any information that was in SUPPAE, so not used it here.
