I watched this video years ago and because of it, I got my first hospital registered nurse position. I used this system for all my interviews. I remember I did an interview for an ER position, and the manager was so impressed. Now I work as charge nurse in Nephrology. I forgot to say thank you 😊.

Great video, very informative and quite lucid. I am a newly grad RN trained in the Caribbean having gained an associates degree in nursing, I am very much interested in and anticipating working in the UK. I do hope I get the opportunity.

around the ward what are the clinical priorities. ? How can I explain this scenario. ?

Your clinical priorities are based upon your assessment of your patients on each shift. For example if you have two patients who are self caring, 2 needing IV antibiotics and some assistance, and one who is acutely unwell, your priority would be the one who is acutely unwell. Clinical priorities can change within one shift, so its always important to continually review your patients needs. Life threatening situations would always be your immediate priority, but awareness not to neglect the other patients in terms of their needs and ensure they are delivered a high standard of care,m when they need it. Using the nursing process to guide your practice: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for all patients, as a fluid process helps understand and prioritise.
