did you need a setting spray??? i wear nars stromboli and sometimes punjab. my nose always goes patchy after a while. i even exfoliate it but it still looks pat hy when i wear foundation. xx ths looks good
TrinaDuhra Thank you! I looked at this review just to see if I was only one seeing pink in the shades. I have the same skin tone and used buttermilk- maybe golden neutral is the way to go with sheer coverage. What shade are you with mac products?
This is the problem when buying foundations. Some lines don't offer a huge selection for 'women of color'. I used to use Revlon colorstay till Revlon discontinued my shade in Canada but was still available in the states. I tried Maybelline Fit Me and I'm oil/combo and that product didn't last all day. Wore off within 4-6 hours. Hated having to buy 2 different shades of foundation to get my match. I finally decided to buy Estee Lauder Double Wear. Wore the wrong shade for the longest time ever because I didn't get myself color matched and just did it myself. Finally got the right color and OMG wat a world of difference. Now I just buy one shade and that's IT. The shade matched me perfectly. It has yellow undertones in it, lasts me all day even till the next day (slept in it one time coz I was too tired to take my makeup off) and its the best dang $45 money spent on an amazing foundation. It's my HG and I will never experiment with any foundations until Estee Lauder decides to stop making that color. Oh and it doesn't break me out at all. A great dupe for Revlon Colorstay.
YESSSS! I actually paused the video half way through, ran to the store and bought the foundation and came back home to finish the review! I was like, "Full Coverage? Long wearing? Damn, she sold me!" Next time you do a review or first impression, I would love to see check-ins throughout the day, to see how the make-up holds up. That's always a helpful deciding factor for me. I just got this foundation. I would swear we are similar in skin tone and I got the 5.75 cork. You seriously should try that shade. Definitely more for yellow golden skin tone

according to the clinique website, the doe foot applicator was meant to use on the jawline, nose, and forehead only. and lightly dab everywhere else...I have very dry skin and while I do moisturize and prime, it still seems that I don't get smooth coverage. and I notice that I have to reblend every couple of hours...
I love Clinique but that's always been my issue with them. I dont know why they use so much pink and orange undertones in their foundations. I'm severely yellow and tan so I have the hardest time with color matching. My two favorite brands have been the Lancôme and Estee Lauder full coverage foundations cuz they have perfect matches for my skin. I'm still deciding if I want to keep this foundation or return it.

I just came across your video and I got golden neutral and it looks like we are the same shade and 8 works really good. You don’t have to apply so much!
its so funny you say its too pink. sometimes thats better for some people for instance this foundation i've found it to be really great for my mother. she;s got beige and olive in her skintone and so many foundations are too yellow toned for her and makes her look jaundice and sick. so when she uses the clinique one it is a little more neutral and beige/pink which fits her. but girl great review ! :)
i have this in ginger, i luv it. i am a dry skin diva with pink undertones so it's my new favorite. i set it with translucent powder. I like it better than my smashbox which is holy grail for me. saves me almost $20.
I love foundation reviews and I appreciate that you take notes on all of them! Have you thought about trying Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation? I just started using it and I am pretty happy with it! My skin has been changing in the past year so I'm still trying to figure out what changes I need to make in order to keep it happy. I would be interested in seeing your opinions on this foundation.
You’re wearing multiple products, so how can you say the flaws are based on Clinique and not the other products you’re wearing. I’m new to makeup, so it doesn’t make sense to me.
I don't know about anyone else, but I really wanted to like this foundation. But over the last 2 months of using it, it has completely broken me out. The worst breakout I've ever had! Definitely going in the trash for me. I'm very jealous of those it works for!
Have u tried clinique blemish facial soap ? Honest its amazing I've always had bad skin and break out when using new products but since using clinque blemish range my skin has never been better xx

It's the same with me :( I bought #8 it looked so yellow on me then it oxidize orange on me went back to Sephora #7 is too pink and #6 is way too light I gave up and bought the Georgio Armani luminous silk. I wish they had more shades because I'm not about that mixing

I got it to look natural but I use sooooooo little and it went a long way :) I really love this product :) I actually hate most foundations because I feel like it cakes my face but it felt like my skin could breath in this one
Thank you for trying but... 1/ I really don't know how you can say you are reviewing a foundation if you mix it with another yellow product. Then you say that the result is too yellow and you add more foundation... What's going on? 2/ I don't know what this brush you first used was, but it obviously doesn't work for foundation. 3/ This foundation contains concealer, so it has a very good coverage. You used way too much of it for anyone to have a clear idea of what it looks like when properly applied. Conclusion: when you fail a video, please just do it again, it will save everybody's time. By the way, I use this foundation, it is fantastic (covers well, small amount goes a long way, slightly brightening, lasts all day and is waterproof, extremely comfortable, very easy to remove). As for the price, just like every thing else it is not getting any cheaper with time. It is $29 now...

i love the clinique. i am in ginger..i am a pink undertone girl. So i am the one that struggles to find a shade, i swear i can only wear a few different brands, everything else is too yellow. i put down my smashbox for this and saved some $ in the process and bought a new urban decay lipstick! lol. 🤗

Golden neutral is a neutral foundation with more yellow undertones ......it is not super yellow and it does not have any olive tones at all....reason why I know is because I am neutral and this foundation is perfect! Anything too yellow or to pink will show on my skin regardless if I am neutral.
I love this foundation, it’s been my go to during the past 5 years. The finishing is perfect, sadly they still test on animals! Any product replacement for this? Maybe one that’s pet friendly
I have this foundation, i have tried with all different kinds of primers, no primers, used a bit, used a lot. I get the same result. Settles into my lines and makes them look a lot worse, starts to rub off my face really easily even using setting powders/sprays. It makes me look a lot older. I never have an issue with foundations. I have oily/combo skin and this was recommended at my clinique counter. It’s the worst foundation i have tried and i am gutted!
I agree! It looks awful on me. It settles in my lines almost immediately (I only use the tiniest amount) and I get oily so fast! Also I'm very fair and the lightest shade I could get my hands on was way to orange... 😳
Yes!!! I put it on too and I was like "good lord this is the pinkest foundation ever"! Did you find the 6.5 was too pink? Or had more beige? I want this but I'm not pink. I'm more neutral/warm skin tone. I'm between a nc25-30 in Mac
+Senorita1982 I think the 6.5 has a little bit of pink and yellow but definitely more neutral. lol glad to hear you had the same experience as me. Well not glad! You know what I mean! ;)
Senorita1982 Please visit an actual Clinique Counter and speak to a trained Clinique consultant to get properly color matched! All of our foundations come in 3 different undertones. Gold, Pink, and Neutral!
You should try the bodyshop darkening drops in the future if you find the foundation is too light it is a life saver! :) Love your review of the foundation!
I have the same issue, I have colour # 9 neutral and it is SO PINK on me. I though I could use it as a universal shade and bronze if I needed... But holy Shhhhh it's not neutral at all!
+J Buck I know right? If you don't want to purchase another clinique foundation, try mixing the #9 with another yellow toned foundation you have at home. Hopefully that helps :)

Hi, my coloring seems to be the same as yours, I use med/golden think it's #23(not sure about #) couldn't read on bottom of bottle, threw box away! I'd check that out its somewhere in the middle of your 2 colors!!
I was color matched #7 but feel it's too pink with my yellow undertones😔I will try 8 and keep my finger crossed. BTW what color FitMe powder do u use???
I tried buying this foundation yesterday and I was really hoping to find my shade! I ended up walking out with a different foundation😭 the color selection was terrible !
I felt the exact same about this foundation. It's a lovely coverage but the colour for me was just a bit off. I got the shade 6.5 Buttermilk but it was a little too pinkish. I really don't like the doe foot applicator at all and felt it didn't allow me to spread the product on my face evenly. I was so disappointed as I love finding new foundations and had high expectations for this one. Thanks for the review! You look beautiful as always.
I love this foundation! But even 0.5 the lightest its too dark for me :( Its getting little lighter though the day but still wish they did lighter shade.. Now using 25hrs Rimmel (the breathable one) 010 light porcelain- the lightest shade Unfortunately that one has medium coverage and I love coverage of Clique! Well.. I guess finding the right foundation its a struggle lol..
