I’m glad you are protecting the integrity of skincare. These American companies PURPOSELY put in bad ingredients because they WANT customers to be caught in that vicious cycle because that makes the customer to keep buying their products in the hopes of skin improvement which never happens. That’s primarily why I don’t even look to purchase skincare products made by major brands. Great video!

Dr. V, i think you switched the ingredients list; The cleansing foam is the only thing I use and it does not have denatured alcohol or witch hazel. The clarifying lotion is the one that has all those yucky ingredients that we stay away from. The cleansing foam really works for me! I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to watch the video on erythema acne scars!

Derma Co has fragrance. I checked out their niacinamide serum because it was affordable but oh boy, they went and added fragrance along with many other unwanted ingredients.

I have used Clinique products for almost 25 years. I have tried other brands occasionally throughout the years and I Always go back to this. I am 49 and I have to say I look 10-15 years younger. I love the acne solutions foaming cleanser and toner. It keeps my oily skin clear of breakouts and I have consistently used their Turnaround Serum and eye creams. I barely have any facial lines. My skin is very oily , still at almost 50 years old. I don’t recommend the 3rd step of the acne solutions to be used consistently. It will irritate the skin. But the other products really work for my skin.

I have been using the clinique Anti Blemish clarifying solution for 20yrs and feel the same as you. I looked for alternatives but I always go back to it, it helped me alot.

I am so happy you’re reviewing Clinique. I have a cabinet full of their products that just didn’t go well with my skin, and now I know why! The only one I still use....which wasn’t in this review is Acne Solution Clinical Clearing Gel. It contains 1% Salicylic Acids...Though low , but it works well for me. Thanks again, my tube doctor 😊

Doctor, i understand you highly recommend Niacinamide usually. Can you share why it causes breakouts in some of us? Is it a purging period that will go away? Also, some suggestions below : 1. Eye products for different types of concerns 2. How to lighten underarms, elbows etc. Products that you recommend. 3. Review brands : Kiehl's, Origins, Fresh, Caudalie...and Avene. These brands are supposed to be the good ones in my country. Would be great to hear from you. Thank you for everything. For your channel, I don't mind if i have to watch ads. I was the business manager for Clinique cosmetics for two years, and I would have never given her that product, and no knowledgeable consultant would have given her that specific product we actually worked with dermatologist and the product actually undergoes vigorous testing before it is even mass produced and only on humans and ask everyone to please Be aware of any products you’re putting on your skin including laundry detergent even a solid nickel can irritate a person skin. No, it works for you and the most important thing is sunscreen for everyone. I am extremely dark and that only provides me with an SPF of 25 and skin cancer has no prejudice.

Hi Dr V , Great video ! Next time if you’re doing another Clinique video . Please include review of Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel .i switched to using cerave moisturizer after seeing your videos to be on the safe side . But this Clinique moisturizer feels very light and good on my oily skin whereas cerave feels little heavy !

I have had sensitive skin for 10+ years, and Clinique is one of the brands I feel safe buying (cuz they are fragrance-free). I’m wondering if their new anti-age products are also safe for sensitive skin to use? For years I’ve kept off anti-age products for fear of triggering an allergy (sticking instead to tolerance-focused products), but now I’m in my 30s and seeing fine lines…. Argh. Would LOVE to learn more from your channel! Thumbs up for all your hard work!!

Hi Dr V. I am of African decent and I used the Clinique Acne Kit for 3 years. I liked it at first but it stopped working, and left my skin very oily to the point that oil ran into my eyes. I’ve tried Yes To Tomatoes, which was even worst, and I broke out a lot! Eventually I went to a dermatologist who recommended Cerave Foaming Cleanser and the Am & Pm Facial Moisturizing Lotions. I am glad to see that my current skincare routine is good for my skin. Thanks for the videos. I now understand why the previous products that I used like Neutrogena Acne Wash and Cetaphil, which was recommended by a dermatologist, did not work.

I think everyone's skin is different so not all skin of color is the same or reacts the same to a brand such as clinique. Find what works for you throughout all the different stages in your life.

I really apreciate her total honesty! I think a good way to see if a product is good is to simply see if it smells strongly of alcohol or chemical fragance. Clinique always smelled super chemical to me, pure alcogol thats why I never felt it was good even if it is expensive. Money doesnt equal value sometims.

Dr would you recommend vitamin c serum from the brand dermitecture . It’s like a dupe brand to the ordinary available in India . I have been using a moisturizer called Cetoderm for the last 2 years and it has been working for me. However, in the last 2 months or so, I have been feeling a tingly/slight burning sensation when I apply it. Should I stop using it? Can you do Take the Day off by Clinique? I did not like it but everyone swears by it. Never liked Clinique, just like Avon it broke my face out and had so much fragrance at one point and then they always say, "but we have a new formula," yeah, and all of them are bad for me........I think most brands have one or two products that are ok and the rest are not so great..

If you haven't already, what are your thoughts about microneedling RF and another treatment called, Halo Laser..i was told that those treatments would be remarkable for me...i was hesitant, because I haven't seen much WOC REVIEWS whose gotten these treatments...and I don't wanna invest tons of money in something that would be damaging. I used this pack when i was 16 or smth and i gotta say i wish i saw this video and had some knowledge because my poor skin after all these 3 products was a mess , especially since i have sensitive acne prone skin. I’m not a person of colour but even i had post inflammatory hyperpigmentation that was pretty bad for my pale skin which for me i do have a red spot at lasts some time but it goes away fast but with these products it took months on months for the irritation to go away.

Long long time ago, I used to use Makari, and their product targets PIH, and it works so well. But it has fragrance, and I think I became sensitive to it. Not because of the product because of over exfoliation. But I can not go back to it because I am now overly sensitive to products with fragrance

It is my understanding the Clinique products are created by Dermatologist. It's why I purchase the products. You'd think they'd know better.

I never liked Clinique. This is great information to share. Your makeup is always flawless. I would love to see a video on makeup ingredients to avoid. It can be a sit-down or you can take us makeup shopping (virtual or in-store, once it is safe with the Coronavirus). Brands... Hi I recently bought Clinique anti blemish solutions cleansing. Went through the ingredients list. It doesn’t have denatured alcohol, or witch Hazel. Maybe they watched dr. V videos and changed their formulation.

Im hoping as you research acne kits you are able to find us a good one. As a teen I had atrocious acne and tried all the kits i could get my hand on (drug/department store). They all did the same thing, dry out my face to the point of pain and peeling and never helped the acne(maybe made it worse). I came to the conclusion that instead of terrible mixes of acne products, i only used actives like bha and differin among a highly moisturizing routine.

I’m quite certain Dr Rattan has reviewed these or at least the ingredients and it’s a No. A lot of their treatments for pigmentation and creams like the Melamix have hydroquinone in. That is a big NO from the Doctor. Unfortunate I didn’t know about her incredible knowledge before spending lots of money on the products.

Thank you so much for your content. Truly life-changing when considering ingredients for specifically skin of color. What would your recommendation be for laser post-inflammatory pigmentation? I had lasered surgical scars before discovering ur channel and the scar tissue improved but the skin around it became significantly darker.
