Hey guys, I had the wonderful opportunity to get to fly a 1940s Ddehavilland Tiger Moth at the historic White Waltham Airfield.
The Tiger Moth was a British biplane operated by the Royal Air Force as a primary trainer aircraft. In addition to training, the Second World War saw RAF Tiger Moths operating in other capacities, including maritime surveillance and defensive anti-invasion preparations; some aircraft were even outfitted to function as armed light bombers.
The White Waltham Airfield was set up in 1928 when the de Havilland family bought 196 acres of grassland to house the de Havilland Flying School. In 1938 the airfield was taken over by the government, and during the Second World War was the home of the Air Transport Auxiliary between its formation in early 1940 and disbandment on 30 November 1945. The Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) was a British civilian organisation that ferried new, repaired and damaged military aircraft between factories, assembly plants, transatlantic delivery points, maintenance units (MUs), scrap yards, and active service squadrons and airfields.
from the beginning of the video has shots taken by Trevor Oakley as we start-up and taxi.

Clint Fisher's onboard camera experience, by contrast, was a noisy, pixelated Kafkaesque nightmare.

I'm doing this in the summer, but with Classic wings at Duxford. I only hope my cockpit video is better quality!

Thats amazing! Duxford is great. It was a shame about the cockpits video but still a great experience. I'd recommend getting your own camera just incase. Ill be getting GoPro for the next experience! Thanks for watching!

@@clintfisher4303 I don't think they allow you to take your own camera up for safety reasons.
