Miss them all. I think only Linda is left. Their characters all spent many joyful hours with me and my family growing up. I still watch them. The morality and the stories were better in those days. Hard to believe this interview was 30 years ago. Miss them all.

l grew up watching these guys ! my late father was mad on westerns and l followed him.These guys were my heroes, "and still are." thanks for making my television so exciting all those years ago.

I met Clint Walker in Kanab,Utah and he was so down to Earth.I drove 2,000 miles to see just him and I was so impressed by his humility.I sat briefly with Susan{his wife}such a normal lovely woman..Neither one of them were stuck up at all. We do not have many people around like Clint Walker.

Watch Gold of the Seven Saints, Clint & Sir Roger Moore together, they're basically playing Butch & Sundance a decade before Newman & Redford. Sir Roger was 6'3', Clint makes him look (& act) like a boy. Moore wrote Walker used to bicep curl the cameras between takes, would never know from looking @ him!

I know that this show was done only to plug a movie but Donahue obviously knew nothing about the subject and stumbled and bumbled his way through the show having to read all of his info from his idiot cards. Such an insult to these great men. Always a treat to see these guys again.

Linda was a classy lady...I met her when I did a concert with her significant other, Yanni, many years ago...what a lovely woman and gracious as the day is long! My job was managing the cameras for a video for CBS Records.

As Phil Donahue so often did, he and/or his research staff made some really stupid mistakes. He called Clint Walker's character Cheyenne Brodie, not Bodie. And then, after playing the theme from "Maverick", he has the camera put on Clint Walker. During the show, he calls James Drury "The Rifleman". Totally unprepared and disrespectful.

The Westerns are the best...bring on the Rifleman.

I believe that the public may have the mistaken impression from the salaries earned by the stars of Friends and Seinfeld, that Walker, Drury, O'Brian, Barry and company made enormous incomes from their respective series. Anyone who has read James Garner's autobiography knows that the western stars were paid a fraction of the present earnings at Warner Bros. and other studios.

Donohue was a disaster in this episode. Messing up names, show songs, and somehow featuring Kenny Rogers. Yes I know it was his movie that brought these guys back together but what a shame it took a light weight in the saddle to bring back such great stars!

I liked seeing the old Western Stars on this old show today. The only thing I did not like was Phil Donahue. He made many flubs. And Cheyenne was my favorite showAt 3-23, he introduces Clint as Cheyenne Brodie, it is Bodie.. Then at 21'43, they play the Maverick theme song and Phil says to the camera man to go to Clint, the star of that.What a flub, does he apologize to Clint NO. Then Kenny Rogers says to Phil, how could you miss this, the song says Maverick is his name. (Maverick is not even on the show)..

Not Clint related but since Linda Evans is in this, some Linda Evans trivia - she shot the iconic film of Evel Knievel jumping the fountain and wiping out at Caesar's Palace. John Derek was hired to film the event and she was his girlfriend at the time. It was supposed to be part of a film about Knievel but it was never completed.

I have no idea why the uploader of this excellent TV western star reunion titled it as if it was all about Clint Walker by himself and gave the impression he was the only one appearing that day. If they'd made it clear it was all those well loved western show stars together it would have 3-5 times more views than it has. But of all the people to host a show like that Phool Donahue was about the worst possible choice, not that anybody had one. Bouncing up and down the aisles with notes in one hand a mic in the other he reminded me of Rip Taylor gayly flitting through the crowds throwing confetti everywhere. But that day of course Phil was no fairy, he was a rootin' tootin' cowboy in his office party cowboy costume looking like a real tenderfoot with his brand new jeans fully tucked into his boots. He was all excited to have so many famous western stars there together yet he didn't seem to really know hardly anything about them, calling Clint Walker Cheyenne "Brodie", directing the camera onto Clint for The Rifleman theme song, among the other flubs during the show. Some of the audience didn't seem real sharp either about who they were there seeing, like the lady who should've been old enough to know but directed a question to "Gene Barry......Wyatt Earp". Really great seeing those guys together, I would've loved to be in the audience, I would've asked some them some things that didn't make me sound like a half ass fan who didn't know what they were talking about.
