So we decided to go on a two day fishing trip to clinton lake in central illinois. Jon b from fishing the midwest met me and kris at my house at 4:30 am and when he arrived we discovered something insane... Someone had took my boat and truck right off my driveway as we slept within a 3 hour period. We called the cops and when they arrived they told us they had found my boat. My truck was still missing but we decided to use jons vehicle and go on the trip anyway. We later received news that my truck was found in a random parking lot somewhere in the ghetto.
On to the actual fishing. day 1 was a tough bight with strong winds that really limited where we were able to fish. We caught a couple off of main lake wood on the warm side then decided to go for some giants on the cold arm. We only managed one bass bite over there (i caught a 10lb carp) so we decided to finish the day out on the warm side. We pulled up on the discharge and started slamming fish left and right on jerbaits. We caught some better ones on jigs and shaky heads as well. We were able to finish out our limit that totaled 14.1 pounds.
