I finally got around to changing that CV boot (but decided to just throw a new shaft in) and upgraded my bottom arms to Powerflex bushes along with refurbished arms and new ball joints from Supreme motorsport. Thanks for watching.
Hi man, really loving your vids, super helpful with some things I’m doing on my 197 track car. I’m struggling with my lower ball joints at the mo, any advice? What ball joint separators did you use?
Thank you for the support 🙏🏻 and happy to help. I’m using some non branded specials off ebay/Amazon. Mine were also a pain. I ended up putting them under loads of strain and slowly heating the casting up then tapping it with a hammer and after a lot of messing it went. Be careful using heat on castings though, it can make it brittle and help it crack.
@@Drivers.Garage cheers man, I might try some different separators, like you said though I’m cautious about too many heat cycles so I might try my luck and drilling through if they don’t work. Wish me luck!
