In my understanding Lisa wanted to say is that Tony's competition is not the trainees but the artists that have already debuted and soon to debut. Its a very high compliment.

I don't know which kind of translation they gave him in that classrom but it surely wasn't what lisa said. Tony came into the show already being this huge trainee, almost no one could compete with him, his improvement wasn't as obvious because he was already super good from the beginning so basically what this show has done for him was polishing him and allow him to experiment and grow as a person and artist, that being said, what Lisa said was that the other trainees who had lot to learn in the beggining have now started cathing up and that if Tony wants to continue being the first that he has to stop looking inside and start looking outside, for now he's still the best but he has to understand that he has to look up and compete - in a healthy way obviously - with people who are at a higher level than him (people who already had their debuts) and not people who are in a lower level than him in terms of skill (the other trainees on the show), those people who already debuted are the ones he will have to catch up with in order to improve himself. That's what Lisa meant.

The mistranslation is the issue here. I'm not sure why this show couldnt get a better translator. They have twisted alot of Lisa's words as well throughout the season.. Lisa's thai fans were very bothered because what she says is not whats translated on the subtitles which is misleasing others. I hope Tony gets to understand the real statement Lisa did. She is basically telling him to go beyond the competition now.. it means he is ready to debut and more. Lisa has always complimented him ever since the beginning.

I think lisa is a person (when it comes to teacher mood) who doesn't care if the trainee hate her or disappointed from her after giving the advice and not the loving side. Because this what all the real best teachers does to us, they are like whether you hate me or disappointed with my advice, one day you will all understand in future. My indian teachers always say this. Also they say how we haven't seen the real world, the real world start after college. School and college is just our own world not the real world. And lisa make that all sense now. Lisa have also seen the real world before me at the age of 14.

Tbh, when Lisa told Tony to keep working hard otherwise someone will take the first place from him is just like a reminder for him to keep improving. It's sad that Tony misunderstood Lisa's intention with her comments about how he should look beyond the show. (it's not here on RU-vid but on iQiyi official website) So I think Lisa gave a heads-up to Tony because he has the potential and ability to do better otherwise his spot would be taken. I feel like this really helped boost him out in his Way Up performance, he did amazing and he deserved that win!
