Softube Clipper is a very good clip tool. RMS and peak clipping together is a great idea. Got the bundle with Widener. I also really like Schwabe Gold Clip, however Softube Clipper is still very useful too.
Just bought Widener and Clipper but you do not support MacOS 11!...really Softube? Is BigSur that old for you that you can't be bothered to support it? I've sent a refund ticket, but seriously, my M1 came with BigSur and its a 3 year old machine that works great. I cannot update Dynamite for the same reason from what I understood. Such a shame.
Hey, I'll relay your feedback to our developers. In the meantime I suggest you try a demo of the product. We haven't had any reports of things not working on Big Sur. If you do have issues, please contact our support team (support@softube.com) and perhaps they can help you out :) // Sara at Softube
@@SoftubeStudios the problem is your Softube Central that I downloaded and installed (along with its helper tool) this morning. It is not working. One of your colleagues (Oskar) reached out today and there is no problem if I download the installer of each plug in and install manually. I'll keep the plug ins since I just tried them out and they work with MacOS 11. Thank you.
I understand not wanting to mess with a stable machine. Are you averse to stepping one level up to MacOS 12? I find it to be a very stable OS release for Clipper and many other Softube plugins on my 2013 Mac Pro.
@rever the problem is their new Softube Central app...it does not install or update the Softube plug ins I own, on my system. I have to download and install manually. No need to step up to MacOS 12. It works on MacOS 11. Even though the software works fine on MacOS 11, the company does not officially support it. I even updated Dynamite (the new update is the same according to their site, it does not officially support MacOS 11) and that works just fine too.
Hi! The plug-ins oversample when they need to, i.e. whenever the processing needs a finer resolution to sound the way they should - the method and the amount of oversampling is decided by the engineering and product teams in the design phase of each plug-in. Best regards, David at Softube
