Rarely does a team add on to the lead, one in a while you see a team add on and win by 40-50. That’s rare. Usually that leads goes down to about 15-20 or less. That’s why most people take the team losing in the second half to cover a lot of times. Especially if they are playoff caliber teams.

This is why I hate it sometimes when football guys try to talk basketball..... Key obviously don't understand adjustments being made in the playoffs..... Which what Pierce was trying to explain that what Dallas did in the second half they can take into game 2, Key kept talking about what happen in game 1..... That game is over now 🤦🏾‍♂️

I love pierce on this show. He's got good perspective. The Mavs supporting cast just wasn't ready for the playoffs. They played timid. That Westbrook is the x factor man. Kinda forgot about him. Gafford, don't let zubac take you over like that. It looked like that shook him.

As a Mavs fan, this game was over in the 2nd quarter. The Mavs played much better in the 2nd half, but to overcome a 29 point deficit on the road in the playoffs in near impossible. The 2nd quarter was a freak show in which nothing dropped. The Clippers shot above average and won. Let's not crown the Clips after Game 1. If it were the other way around, I wouldn't crown the Mavs. Game 1 is the first battle. A team has to win 16 playoff games for the title.

To all the people saying Mavs in 6 or they will win, as a Clippers fan, the Mavs have a shot, but explain to me honestly how you can look at both rosters and say Dallas has the better team. Zu is better then Gafford or Lively, a 50% Kawhi is still better than any of the Mavs forwards and the Clippers have a better bench. So explain how the Mavs have a better team

God Kyrie became the first player ever to score 20+ points in a single quarter without a miss in a NBA Playoffs game. He did this in the third quarter, tallying 20 points on 8/8 shooting and 2/2 from three-point range. Plus, old adage: a series doesnt really begin until the home team loses!!

The only reason the mavs stepped up in the second half was because the clips eased up on defense after they had such a big lead. Ty Lue admitted it in the post game interview.

In basketball, everything revolves around how well you shoot at the basket. You're having a bad day or you're not having any luck at all and you can try as hard as you want but it's hard to score points. Something similar happened with Dallas in the first half as the three-point shooting 2-18 that is 11% and then 22% shooting from the field, and here more than half of the open shots were missed. Somehow, even when Dallas played well in defense and blocked the ball, luckily it fell into the opponent's hands again and the points fell. If I had a team that would shoot 80% for three points, then I can say that my opponent can choose the best basketball players in the world and they will lose, that's how it is when you look at the statistics, because you can't win with bad shooting statistics.

The game was similar to the Cowboys getting blown away in the first half then when Green Bay let up a little they "looked" good in the fourth to make the score not look like the game actually was --- a blowout. Same thing happened here. Clippers know Mavs can't handle a physical defense. Mavs are a pretty team not a physical team.
