Two major surgeries on same knee and returning to agressively play puts back a lot of stress on the knee, and one must remember anatomically we are all different so " different strokes for different folks. The way i see this is the Luka/Kyrie duo is clearly one of the best duos in pro basketball but a Harden/PG13 duo "should" be right there, which would then place the onus on coaching and the strength of the rosters. So without Kawhi Leonard my expectation would still be The Clippers in 6. I think Coach Lue holds a slight edge over Coach Kidd as a head coach and The Clippers roster has been together much longer and should know all the offensive and defensive coverages better. Even if for some the Luka/Kyrie duo is far superior to the Harden/PG13 duo, it still takes the other 6-8 in a shortened postseason rotation to determine a winner. I think The Clippers next 6-8 rotation players are better and have more experience playing together, including postseason experience. So yea, the trade will be a disaster if James Harden cannot help get The Clippers past a solid Mavericks team. The Mavericks are not a great team by any stretch. Without Kawhi, only The Nuggets in the west should be considered better.
We must figure out what is causing the weakness and inflammation and then eliminate the cause(s) in order to expedite the healing. Solving this will also prevent future episodes and give Kawhi and the Clippers a chance to play for the title.

What does the MRI says? Kawhi needs load management as that has proven to work for him. There is a trend here. Second year in a row with health issues.Let that knee recover properly or you might have permanent issues. Seems like he should not play but behind the scene their hint to him is play if you want otherwise play at your own risk. Bottom line if he was healthy they would say he will be available.
What I don't understand is why would inflammation still be around after 3 weeks? I'm in the rehab industry and believe me if you wanna get rid of inflammation, there are different ways and drugs to deal with it and it will be gone in less than a week.
Could it be that since this knee is degenerative and he’s already torn his acl and mcl on this same knee, that’s why the inflammation isn’t going away?
@@hoopjab it is possible but not likely given his great condition through the season. But there are still ways to deal with this kind of situation if he wants to play, that's my point. He is playing safe, which in a way I can understand but if they don't push this time, they will be 1 year older next season and his knee will only get worse.

I am mavs fan and hope he is healthy to play. You want to play a team at their full strength so no excuses can be made by media or fans as to why mavs bested a team with 3 hall of famers. But why risk playing him in the first round if the goal if the goal is the finals?
