I think Robin Hood was most popular in Sri Lanka than any other country. At least 10-15 times telecasted already. And ppl still watch. Still love and again Ana again watching 🥰😍🥰😍🥰
I was wondering why so many comments on all the Robin Hood related videos are from Sri Lanka! That's so funny. What a shame they don't show it more everwhere else because pretty much everyone who's seen it loved it
I remember how in 1984 episodes from the first series of Robin of Sherwood came to Polish television ... I fell in love with this series ... and I love to this day
I just rewatched Kevin Costner's Robin and am now on a RH youtube binge. Loved the series as a kid. Nothing beats it imo. Great interview with Clive here
I am mexicanand when I was 11 my favorite tv series was this one and Michael Pread my boyfriend ( although he didn't know). 😁 I got this in VCR and the CD Clannad Soundtrack too! Love you guys, forever!! 🙋😘
that speech of Robins would ring true right now! sadly! And yes, Clive+ s right, that is why Robin lives inside us all,he is the little man that fights back. I adored this series, As a pagan, I loved the fact that it wove in pagan elements, I have never seen any other series that did that. JK Rowlings rubbish doesnt count and has harned true pagainism in a way that will take a lot of clearing. But Robin was respectful and understood the true nature of paganism. My favourite tv show ever.
"MICHAEL PRAED"- HAS 'SUCH AN 'ELVIN LOOK'- LIKE HE JUST 'FITS IN 'THE FOREST'- I ALSO 'THINK HE'D DO WELL AS AN ELF IN 'LORD OF THE RINGS ', OR ANY J.R.TOLKEIN, STORY MADE INTO A 'MOVIE '!!!.ALSO, ROBIN HOOD-'IS A 'HERO' TYPE , 'HELPING THE 'POOR'- DURING A TIME IN THE 80'S,- WHEN PEOPLE WERE 'REALLY LOOKING FOR A 'HERO' TYPE, ALSO THERE WAS A 'SONG-"I 'NEED A HERO"- KINDA SUM'S UP WHAT THE 80'S WAS 'LOOKING FOR'!!!.HE WAS 'PERFECT ' FOR THAT PART!!!.👍👍👍😘😍🥰❤❤❤
It made a surprisingly big difference that the extras in this show were English-speaking. You could just about hear the whoosh sound over the heads of the Hungarian stand-ins in the more recent BBC production. It was one of many reasons why that version felt so jumbled.
"The people bled white to pay for foreign wars, no voice, no justice, NO ENGLAND!!!!!". How sobering to think that precious little has reallly changed since then😞
Apparently he's voicing a new engine in a Thomas the Tank Engine film, called Gator, can't wait and apparently olivia colman is doing a character called Marion, can't wait. Taking nephews to see.
I'm sure that HogwashMcTurnip knew that Alnwick was used as not only Nottingham Castle in Robin of Sherwood but also as Hogwarts in Harry Potter. Missed an oppertunity to go and see the place one time and live some distance from it, Lincolshire to be exact, but would love to go and visit one day to see where the archery contest in Robin of Sherwood took place and the spot where Harry Potter got his first broomstick flying lesson. I agree that the pagan element in Robin of Sherwood is very well done but oddly it never crossed my mind with Harry Potter. Perhaps I took the well researched ROS seriously and took the imaginary Harry Potter as a make believe kids story?
