One of the few industrial bands I never met, saw or played with. A loss for me. Absolutely brilliant. As groundbreaking as Skinny Puppy and the other pioneers. They were musicians musicians.
I don't understand how a song & video from the year I was born can still be so fucking terrifying. It should feel a bit dated and cheesy by now but it doesn't, at all.
The song is dated at least 1989. That's what printed on my vinyl record. Google says it dates back to 1988... Truly great sound! Thanks for your effort!

Hackers destroyed my Musical career totally. I can't even use my artist Name anymore. I mean these twats with their hacker's software. Thanks to Clock DVA for this track! This Band is great to be seen live, too. Brilliant Performance!
I've heard that some people naturally have less. For example, I am pretty sure I do. That's why I am super creative. Because dopamine levels are hard to keep up unless I am making something novel.
Lots of binary code, fractals, newsprint (concerning notorious criminals), afterimages, Manchurian Candidate style commands, sea ferns, etc. that I see here....
I don't know the specifics, but I know the original visuals were created on an Amiga. It's possible that the "flickering" inversion effect was done entirely in the computer. The Amiga has video output, so I originally assumed this was edited on videotape, but in fact the framing around the edges shifts around quite a bit so maybe it was transferred to film and edited on film instead. You can get this kind of rapid editing on film, it just takes a lot of work. For a more "analog" example of this see the Cabaret Voltaire videos on my channel. Digital video editing was already a thing in 1993, but I doubt they used it here since the systems were very expensive and AFAIK the output quality wasn't great. It matured pretty quickly though -- by 1995 you had groups like Emergency Broadcast Network making some crazy videos with it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oQZsKWV4mDo.html

*Masks of the Nearly Invincible* Ideology is the secret key to all works. It is a journey where everyone fails. But, by owning the truth of the universe and concealing it from others any person can be like a god. Most of the earliest gods embraced acts of ritual perversity and accepted sacrificial offerings. They enjoyed knowledge of the spirit. These are distinctly opposed to any human ideology and exist in a realm beyond human understanding. Ideological works are intrinsically linked to mankind’s conquest over nature where it exists in a vulnerable state. The gods, however, see life as a paradise or a game of skill to enjoy. Resurrection is linked to complexity and tragedy. It is a test of a god’s true nature. Modern gods serve mankind, therefore they are lesser gods after a lesser understanding. Gods usually prefer remote areas because city life is generally worthless human gambit. This is why cults often leave the city to perform rituals. When a human hunts a god it becomes their triumph and when they kill one it reveals their glory. Be warned!
*Rulebooks* It’s impossible to play a game if you don’t know the rules. Many have tried to write the rule book, but when the game begins to actually make sense, you know you are doing something right. Many rules were written over 2,000 years ago, but people just assume they know the rules. This is folly. They began to recognize the dangers of sharing the rules with a general unknown humanity. That’s why even today the search for the rules is extremely difficult. I’ll tell you one thing. The rules are not Fundamentalist plot narratives, they’re cryptic and strategic. Did you actually believe we would just hand you a rule book? Haha haha
*The Photog* Life is just so complex. This inhuman beehive's hour, a grail, a spirit, and a flower. Why not build the biggest ever, phallic symbol tower? -Francis Blake
*The Blue Industrial Garbage Set* Music is so embarrassing. It’s like people in school who have the exact same shirt and show up wearing it the same day. Are you my music store twin? Did we both wear paper Burger King hats? Lol😂. Are we the cheapest people in the world? As above, so below! Have some Glad (R) bags. C’mon. 12 bar blues! The determination was truly cheap blue garbage through a straw. Moon landing subliminals. Was it real? The X ray thief is out there. Atomic bs. You signed the book of death. Aw. It wasn’t all old classics. -Garbage Prophet, 1998, NM

It was actually never confirmed if he really was a fan of Clock Dva. From what I read it was an urban legend that originated from a tabloid magazine in the early 90's and there isn't really any concrete evidence to back it up.
Starting around 1:19 if you focus to the right of the screen he flashes over and over. I hate Trump btw and I find it amazing because it's so fitting that he'd be featured here
@@JRStephens5005 "amazing" doesn't have to be in reference to something positive you dumbass. And yes he's in this video. Slow it down if you have to (you can do it in the video settings fyi). I explained what time and where on the screen above
