Bro, just wanna say I have so much love for what you are doing here. Its amazing to break down and see exactly how these classics were made all those years ago... fantatic stuff and I cant wait to watch more of your videos!
Whaaaaa !!, what can i say. You smashed this up Big Bad and Heavy for sure !!. Enjoyable fun and educational. I'm double thinking if the pad was actually Roland JD at all now 😂😂.
Hi Owen pretty sure the mystery loop is a break from either Norman Cook Skip to my loops or the Pascal Gabriel sample cd from that time. I've got them buried somewhere in a vault. I'll try and dig them out and let you know - haven't seen them in eons
Owen this is wicked - thanks so much. I'm going to ask (Frost) where Krust got that (mystery) break from and if I do find out I will comment; I thought it was Bobby Brown or Levert
Maidmoiselle mix.. the girl.. ‘first you say yes and then you say no, tell me to stop and then you say go. What kind of fool are you looking for?’ After I heard that mix I couldn’t go back to this original 😜😜
Yeah I was searching it yesterday and found it: Its Zero G Datafile III Track 81 one of the last Samples. You dont need to use it in full range. Just the first bits of it. Dont forget to pitch it in a Sampler!
Owen Palmer Nope but thanks! I’ll check it out. I do enjoy those time stretched breaks! Love the Mind of a Lunatic intro too by Predator. I’ve recently been tying to recreate some classic breaks but haven’t quite got the ear for it. I was trying to edit the Eddie Bo break to recreate In Complete Darkness but couldn’t quite get it right. Tried playing it half time and playing individual notes but still got stuck. I think there may be some Amen hits or other samples in there perhaps. Any tips or is it just practice (x1000 or so)?
@@OwenTheGeek Could be edited, anywat I think it's Cameo, but Candy ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sn8KYD1Vco0.html snare is absolutely the same
That mystery break snare sounds like something from Michael Jackson tracks, pretty similar snare to smooth criminal just not the same groove on the hats
Didn't optical engineer this tune? Maybe ask him about that drum loop Would it be possible to make that pad sound available for download, I've always wanted it
I've wondered where it comes fro for a very long time . As i said in my above comment i was sure it was a pad called , "Macho swell", from the JD800 think i maybe wrong now anyways its such a lovely smooth lush sound.
The exact pad is on either Jungle Warfare 1, 2 or 3 or 160db/260db Drum and Bass Interface. Can't remember which. It's definitely on one of them anyway.
It was all about the earlier Aphro stuff for me. Tunes like We Enter, Beat Boo Ya, Calling All The People & You Take Me Up, that he did as A-Zone or collaboratively with QED or Tony B as Aladdin or Amazon II, were killer compared to the Urban Takeover era.
@@OwenTheGeek wow that was REALLY poor choice of words.. I meant deconstruct Goldie's track "Mother" from Saturnz Return..I was trying to be funny☹️ sorry my bad. Really like your videos mate.
