One of the fun things about this show and Regular Show is that the problems that show up can be either entirely mundane ("I have some lingering feelings for my ex") or utterly bonkers ("I can't be sure if I can marry you like this because I'm an immortal goddess"), and so can the solutions to those problems.
This is how the show ended after it was cancelled. Its a shame I really loved the humor and theme as a whole . But i feel that ending with both characters getting back together was good way to end it.
@@TheDragonstorm1993 Marvel fans always take the piss on DC fans for being horny for DC and bragging its better. But all Ive seen so far in my years on the internet is Marvel fans bashing on people who even mentions DC characters. smh
Unfortunately he stays with Bridgett because she pulls a rom com last minute confession even though his perfect companion is literally offering him everything he ever wanted lol
@@SuperFang1 True, most likely. Though it is made by the guy who made Regular Show which didn’t give a true rom com ending for Mordecai and Margaret. Instead they just went their separate ways. We’ll see what happens here.
@@Mister100Percent True Reg Show thankfully didn't go the typical guy gets girl route. I'd be pleasantly surprised if something like that happened here.

@@ceddricc5909 Zeus and Hera are self explanatory. Orion and Artemis ended in Orion either being killed by a giant scorpion or accidentally shot in the head by Artemis. Brynhild and Sigurd, Sigurd ended up being killed by Bryn's husband and laughed at his death because she went insane and then killed herself. (Much was Sigurd's fault). Etc etc. There's also the kid (I forgot his name) who got mauled by Ares transformed as a tiger because he was loved by Aphrodite.
Bro I just hate Bridgette because when Alex is happy she gets jealous but when she is happy Alex supports her like dude Bridgette is that one ex that we all once had but unlike Alex we dumped her
It’s mildly comforting to know that this is a pretty common occurrence and it isnt just me. I had a VERY toxic narcissistic gf ‘’off and on’’ for 10+yrs. I’m glad I’ve moved on, but all that wasted time is never coming back. Dont be an Alex guys.
At least you’ve HAD a girl before. I’m in my mid-20s. these are supposed to be the BEST chance years of success, and still nothing. I can’t even get a _sideways glance_ from someone. Guess I have no “game” or whatever the term is people use now I’d better get used to living alone, looks like I’m gonna be dying alone too
@@hobomike6935 bro no girl friend is better than a toxic gf that can leave you with scars for life. Dude over here talking about how shitty and manipulative his ex was and you are like bro you're lucky. Work on yourself and your own personal happiness. If you think happiness is dependent on being in a relationship you need to reevaluate yourself and your goals in life.
Alex and Bridgette better have a healthy fuckin relationship after they get back together. My man just turned down not only his biggest dream, but also LITERAL GOD-HOOD AND A HOT WIFE WHO LIKES HIS INTERESTS
Eh, she was the goddess of LUST... The second she gets bored, she tossed him. Also, I suspect the godhood only lasts as long as he's her husband, so...
Wow, so incredible, and that's the thing in both Regular Show and more less in Close Enough, when the situation becomes so incredible and surreal, that means that things are getting more bigger and unstable, and it is higly urgent to do the right thing before things "get worse". Or the surreal things can be good and instead give a high boost and support for the characters current dilema, well, who knows. The point here is that all this has happened because Bridgette was very stubborn in not expressing her feelings. Yeah, just getting married wouldn't be a big pressure on her because she has been on the altar before and later in the court for the divorce, but after this revelation, it became one of: tell him or you will never see him again, forever, or you will regret it for the rest of your life.
He really gave up the goddess of lust and desire AND becoming a god for a women who didn’t even want him when it was all said and done. Bridge is trash for this one and Alex is a fool for giving up his dreams like that
Well, if you watch the show, you will see that Alex is as flaw as everyone else, even Bridgette. But we won't know for sure if he could really have had a "and they lived happily ever after", remember that relationships will have many hardships. And the same with Bridgette, although we know that it will end in a disaster if it was real life.
I mean, you're now a former mortal living with the god of lust. I think the duration of your godhood only last while you're her husband and accounting how she's the god of lust.. yea alex was gonna get tossed away like real quick considering she was a god when she was born and you were a mortal with different views.
@@bendover9813 wtf you're getting the two confused, Valhalla is for great warriors and Valkyries, Asgard is the one that's for the gods. He was going to Valhalla so he was going to become one of the Einherjar one of the warriors os Valhalla
I totally woulda married that Nordic goddess. She is FIIIIIINE! Plus, who wouldn’t want to be an immortal god that lives in a place where you have bountiful feasts and fight in glorious combat.
@@tytheaniman497 *RIGHT* Pantheon, bro. Sorry to burst your bubble. Freya was a mega slut. She slept with whole realms of men. Even her own brother. And Aphrodite was the goddess of fertility, not lust. Do yourself a favor in the future, and don't go assuming things.
What more could Alex sacrifice for Bridget? He was a professor & gave up his reputation & career for her. Gives up living in a house to live in a cramp closet. Then he gives up his perfect Viking goddess & the chance of godhood for her.
I know, pretty pretty harsh. But that's the problem of living physically together, yeah, it was great they ended in good terms and can still see each other as friends, but when there is a break up, both people need to live apart because this kind of things happen: a relapse.
@@Kaboomboo not really inappropriate, but there should be bounderies now, more bounderies than when they were together. Like they can't live together at the same house like they did before, bc that just makes it difficult to move on.

Bridgette honestly made me hate her. She wasnt a good friend, good "aunt", or a good person in general. Alex only wanted Bridgette to be happy and Bridgette only wanted Alwx to be happy WITH her
I'm wondering about the gods that were in Valhalla waving, obviously, there's Odin sitting on his throne. is the one with the red hair and beard supposed to be Thor? and the one with the blonde hair is Balder? and could the one with the helmet in the back be Heimdall? and could the woman be Freya or Frigg?
He on Twitter I saw image of infinity train of part 5 same do we want to return the show there's still some hope maybe they will bring back close enough
Ok, few quick things,, doesn’t that god already have a husband? Also, if that’s the one for lust she wouldn’t be going to Valhalla, but the other Norse realm that associates more with forestry and nature, not strict societal behaviors.
@@JohnDoe-tl4gm They don’t necessarily define lust the way you do. There’s technically difference between a passionate, lustful partnership, and being a general whore (which I don’t say to be rude).
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 Dude no it’s actual Norse mythology. Odin sacrificed one of his eyes in exchange for a drink from Mimir’s well to gain knowledge and wisdom.
