I gotta give Madrimov credit for making the fight difficult. His constant awkward movement and patience definitely made Bud change his game plan, but Bud is just a master of the craft. Seeing that Madrimov wasn't going to initiate, Bud literally stood planted in front of Madrimov to make him fight, took a few of Israil's shots, in order to dish out more, and he did. Genius level boxing from Bud.

Crawford did what he had to do in my opinion. Madrimov trains with the Bivol team, that guy is an exceptional fighter. I mean Madrimov could give Canelo trouble or even cause an upset, that's how good he is. Madrimov's rhtym, distance, discipline and timing is spot on (just like Bivol) these will take him far in this sport, I believe he'd easily beat anyone at his weight class including charlo. But styles make fights and this fight was genuinely close. The last round made the difference, and Bud took it.

Crawford definitely did enough to win (especially with the 12th round), but it was a LOT more tentative and slow starting than expected - Madrimov landed beautiful straight right hands for sure. But for everything great Madrimov scored, Bud was able to respond with work that exceeded it.

I used to think that Madrimov was winner before the announcement of judges. Unfortunately, I was wrong. However, the judges must judge overall score not the past victory of the sportsman. They said that if Madrimov wanted to win he needed to win all rounds not some. So where is reality????

It’s absurd the way the commentators try to manipulate viewers. Crawford won. I’ll admit Madrimov had moments sprinkled throughout but this is the Terence Crawford era.. Bud got hit hard, yet came back with beautiful combinations.

Eddie Hearn is definitely wrong. Madrimov only landed a few power punches here and there while Crawford was landing combos and was definitely the more skillful fighter....Crawford clearly was out-boxing Madrimov. To me, it seemed Madrimov was more concerned about bobbing and weaving his head instead of landing the better combinations

Bud my favorite fighter in boxing, and I'm happy they gave him the win lol, but I'm a realists! He lost that fight to me 7-5 or 8-4! I think it probably was a combination him getting older, rust, and dude had great footwork, and head moving! Before this fight I was convinced nobody in boxing can beat bud, but now......I think he need to stay away from boots and canelo!

I see a lot of casuals need help understanding the sweet science. Yes, Madrimov had good footwork and was catching Crawford with good shots. However, if you understand boxing, more than one punch is needed to win fights. Throwing and landing combinations are critical, which Crawford clearly showed and displayed in comparison to what Madrimov had to offer.

Madrimov showed true determination he's gonna cause people alot of problems in the future.

Bud won no debate, people claiming robbery are new to boxing, movement is a part of boxing, not standing toe to toe and slugging, go watch bare knuckle if you want toe to toe slugging

This was bad scoring in my opinion ... it was a very close fight and Madrimov was the belt holder meaning you have to do alot to beat the Champ which I did not see Bud do ... If anything since there is politics in Boxing as well ... I would have called it a Draw just so there could be a 2nd fight to see who really is better. Crawford got hit more than at any other time before in his whole career ... I guess Madimov is better than all those dudes Bud knocked out ... We did learn one thing for sure Tonight ... I thoroughly enjoyed this fight, i was nervous as a Crawford supporter since his 135lb days but the right man won and it was a sophisticated high level fight. Ppl booing have no clue, this guy had 350+ amateur fights and was the Champion at 154. Crawford is the guy but a rematch is warranted but the boxing business might keep it pushing

It was a damn good fight. CRAWFORD's craftmanship is impressive, and MADRINOV is durable and strong. He gained a lot of experience. MADRINOV stayed disciplined, and did not rush in, but could have been more aggressive. But then again, it's easier said than done.

I like Crawford as a fighter and as a human being. He is respectful and humble. I think Canelo is too much for Crawford, but of course, it's about the money not so much about the sport.

I believe how late the fight started and the commentators stained the brilliance and perception of Crawford's performance. As @terencecrawford was doing some amazing work, landing great shots, commentators would talk over it and only react to Madrimov's single right hand shots every now and again. Commentators were hoping to cash in on a Bud upset.
