At 9:56 ..... there is presently a good view on Google Earth of the early days of this hole being constructed. It is really nice to see how it finally turned out.

on the first hole you played there used to be a bunker between the two fairways, made the hole very tricky if you went in it! :)

Hi Mark/ anybody else that can help, I am 15 years old and have been playing Golf properly for about 1 year now and I have entered my first competition. It is on Friday and I don't really know how to approach it, I have been given a 26 handicap even though today I went round in 78 without really putting very well (I had 8 birdy putts and made none!). I am off school for half term and have all week to practice, have you got any suggestions on what I should do to prepare? I can get to the course everyday (it is the same course as the competition) it has good practice greens (chipping, putting and bunkers and a practice field like a driving range and nets) It is a junior competition and it has a prize of a Christmas Turkey. Thanks for any advice?

Putting and chipping is key, also get a shot you can hit under pressure, mine is a fade and I find even when the pressure mounts I can do a fade reliably...

+BUZZIN HORNET In a competition with strangers yes. With mates its sometimes just a good laugh to see them struggle a bit. It's boring for golf to always be about etiquete. There's a time and a place for it. #hesalovelyboy
