Just curious, why play rapid pro deco over other longer range options or other blasters? I don't really see team comps clamoring for angle shooter or wail, is the main that good?
In a way yes. Angle shooter is still horrible, but to me Rapid strikes an interesting balance in providing solid long range matchups without giving up huge mobility on your team like say an E-litre. There's definitely other options too though with a slightly better kit like normal Rapid deco which I'm curious to try someday too
Those were some very exiting games to watch on stream! Would you say that explo and rapid pro play similar in some ways? Obviously no arced shots but spacing and team fights reminded me of explo except.. more aggressive?
It plays quite similar indeed. I was exactly as you said curious to try some more mobile and aggressive comps. It was pretty good overall and curious to try some other options too
@@BrianTheDrummerVery cool, always loved seeing that supportive playstyle with explo. Good luck with your experimentation! (and fingers crossed for cexplo announcement)
I'm not in the know for any meta stuff (only watch a tournament video like this every once in a while), but I have noticed that every team has a cooler, an inkzooka, and normally an inkstrike too. It seems like the snipewriter is just a cooler farm. Why not use a comp with Z+F charger and N-zap? It fills the charger niche and the team would still have soda+strike. Snipewriter seems so slow and weak compared to other chargers.
im no expert, but i believe they dont use z/f and zap because of the fact that in a lot of cases, snipewriter gets more coolers than zap, alongside being an ideal and non selfish backline weapon. snipewriter is good for getting assists and applying a sufficient amount of support. z/f is a much more 'selfish' charger and would require a comp to build around, for what reason i sadly forgot. i know prochara did a video on why snipewriter is good, so youre prolly better off watching that if youre really curious
i’m a competitive pencil player, and there are 2 reasons we use pencil over other back lines: the first is that it has cooler, it doesn’t get more than zap it actually gets way less, but the weapons range allows you to stay alive as the cooler player much longer than a zap so you can be helping your team by playing backline and getting coolers more consistently, not necessarily more often, than zap. The second reason is that pencil offers the longest range combo damage in the game. think about it, on zf if you miss a shot on an enemy a teammate is fighting your teammate is forced to win the fight 50-50, and you can’t help him at all unless you get the kill, on pencil if you miss a shot, you shoot again, and then 3 more times and by then the enemy your teammate is fighting has either taken 68 damage or has no exit path because of all the paint even if you don’t get the kill first. So pencil is played because charger players can’t be perfect, and it gives us way more chances to help while also providing consistent special and paint support, which no other charger can do.
