I built a custom replica of a 1966 Batmobile. When I go to car shows people ask if the buttons and switches all work. They do. I made this video to demonstrate most of the features of the car, including the simulated turbine start up sound. Finish body work and paint by Mr. Pat Crafton. Here is a link to another video of the Batmobile chasing the Joker:

I would have to agree this one is incredible and the best one I’ve ever seen before. The fact that nearly all the gadgets actual work is incredible. I didn’t think the guns would shoot and I was very impressed that the shoots retracted back into the car. Remarkable ingenuity. I will say for the rockets I think you could somehow incorporate a legal firework or type of flare that can shoot out. That would take that feature and the car to even a higher level. Again this is a work of art and I can’t imagine all the time and money spent to create such a vehicle. Bravo.

The Sunday before school started I begged and pleaded to wear a Monkee shirt out to see my friends. Mom finally caved but said don’t do anything to ruin it. I promised not to and out I went feeling like the shit. Walked to the end of the block and there were my buddies and one of the dad’s with a go cart. Awesome! When it was my turn to drive it, I rolled it off a curb and pretty much tore the Monkee shirt off my back and ripped a finger open along with other road rash. No helmet of course as we grew up in the great days of no safety protocol. I walked back home and when Mom saw the shirt ripped open … the only thing that saved my ass was the blood pouring out of my finger and we had to go to the hospital to get my finger stitched up haha. The more retro, and dark, anything concerning Batman is the more authentic it is in my opinion. All the Batmobiles in the movies did justice to the Dark Knight but for me the best Batmobile was the one in this video, the same one in the mid 1960s TV show, which actually wasn't a dark portrayal of him. That's just the styling. The weapons and devices are way over the top. And with every minute I watched it became more unbelievable. Really amazing job on what you've created here Batcarguy.

@@Batcarguy Very kind & generous of you & I can see how the psychology of that would work on those appreciative kids… 🤩 I live in the U.K. & perhaps about 20 years ago or so (I don’t recall the exact timespan…), I was astonished to see what turned out to be one of the ORIGINAL 1966 Batmobiles that was used for the TV show, parked right outside New Scotland Yard in London (the Headquarters of the Metropolitan Police) with its famous revolving triangular sign as a backdrop. It was there for an opportunistic & very thematic “Crime Fighting” photo shoot, ahead of that vehicle being auctioned off at one of the famous & prestigious U.K. Auction Houses (Bonham’s, I think?). I took a few photos of the car myself, on my mobile phone but, sadly, I don’t think I ever downloaded them onto my computer… & since that phone is truly “yesterday’s news” & was one of many defunct & obsolete electronic devices that my Wife encouraged me to let her clear out of our house (just a few weeks ago!), it’s just dawned on me that those nostalgic & quite whimsical photos will be lost now... ☹️ Out of interest, since you portray “Batman” yourself & your friend, Jim, makes an excellent “Joker” (I loved the way he ran off from the bullet riddled “Clown” 🤡 mobile 😂), do you also have a suitable “Robin” to complete the famous “Crime Fighting Duo” at exhibitions & such? Either way, keep up the great work! 🏆🥇

The inside of the original Batmobile was drab and unfinished. The steering wheel was even missing the center cover but the TV show never gave you that perspective.
