Some of the songs from that album have more black metal influence but generally this belongs more to post-rock and maybe shoegaze genre and some of their works have trip-hopish beats as well.
very very true... i've noticed that alot lately and tbh i don't mind but it's not really my thing.. and this song isn't bad but i agree it's not black metal in the slightest but that takes nothing away from the musician
I just kind of call this band Shoegaze, experimental metal/rock, Trip Hop, and then stick blackgaze at the very very end. Signifying that black metal only makes up maybe 15% of their sound. Nevertheless, this band has a lot to offer. Good stuff. :)
I agree. Now, I've always been fond of depressive black metal, but it seems it has merged a little too much with shoegaze, to the point of many bands having little semblance to BM.
and anyway despite them not being black metal it is obvious that there not trying to be black metal and even there label doesn't credit them as black metal. basically it was a fairly useless thing to say in my opinion
