Stop making disciplined, talented, responsible, experienced, sober, wise, law-abiding American citizens homeless and leave them on the cold and dangerous street and then you hand them a cup of soup and a blanket and think of yourself as a good Christian - prevent such upright citizens from ending up in the street to begin with or else what kind of society do you have? Call girls, and drug dealers make lots of money - and they won't end up on the street. Is that the only working class people you want to protect from unemployment?
