Moke looks great. Here in Australia we had a fancy Morris version called Californian with a list of special features including denim theme and it was available with the 1275 cc engine. I guess that would be the version Jay Leno would have 😀

There aren't enough proper Mokes about so well done on a fine job Sir. just a little pointer: The spikes across the panel by the radiator secure a rubber shroud which was fitted to all Mokes, Mk I, Mk II and some Mk III Minis. Part number is 14A7286 and helps keep the air flow through the radiator.

These are super easy to parallel park. When I was in school ,a friend borrowed his mother's moke to take us into town. He drove forward into a parking space and 3 of us got out and lifted the rear of the vehicle off the ground and walked it to the kerb

I drove around donington park in a mini moke On the 25th anniversary celebration of the mini I’ve owned five so far and my dads mini clubman estate was pretty cool too 👍

I have a 998 cc Cooper engine (twin SU carbs, high compression pistons) in my Moke, and I think it is the perfect combo. Easy freeway speeds in that unaerodynamic body!

The tyres look good but you will find they emit a lot of road noise, great restoration, sold my moke Californian twenty years ago good fun if the suns shinning!

They all look the same quality, NAPA sells them, I buy them on Amazon a lot, Harbor Freight probably has the same one. Moss Motors even has them if you want to get it from them. amzn.to/45ALZP6

The VW 181 was really just an update of the wartime VW Kubelwagen, 2000 being supplied to the Bundeswehr in 1969. The Moke started life in 1964 as a projected parachute-droppable lightweight military vehicle, but the lack of ground-clearance damned it, although a Twini Moke with a 1300 engine at either end was supplied to the US Army for evaluation.
