Starting your own agency can be super profitable, but also super confusing. Here's how I started mine, step-by-step: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gNRGkMeITVU.html
Videos like this are ABSOLUTELY INVALUABLE! People who wanted to learn business negotiations used to have to work their asses off for years to get a job in a position that would allow them to just be in a room where negotiations like this are held to just observe. Now, this is on RU-vid. Thank you very much for the content. It's very powerful!
I cannot thank you enough for making this kind of content available publicly! and also super appreciative to your clients agreeing to allow this call be posted on youtube. As an introvert, social settings aren’t my forte. So this has been incredibly helpful for my learning on many levels. Thank you!
Timestamps to help myself learn these skills for my first meeting: 22:12 - Discovery Call random moment. I really liked the idea of creating presentations and screen sharing. Then, talking about the systems and service we provide. 31:30 - Switching to pricing. This is the most important part. Although I would try to play around with high prices. 46:40 - Conclusion. Sending invoice, slack and the entire onboarding process. 48:35 - Results after 5 weeks, shown by Iman + few more screenshots of slack channel & insights into the profits. Thats it. It was really fun. I know iman wont be reading this since he's a busy guy but i would like to thank you very much for sharing this. Its really helping me!
@@Saul-lw2xo are you talking about the performance bonus? The plus 100k was for what they can achieve already in profit from ads (say in the previous year they inputted 20k into adspend and gained 120k revenue = 100k profit). Iman excludes this as a reassurance to the business that not only will they maintain but they will achieve better results than they could have done without IAGmedia, also so they dont feel like IAGmedia is taking an undeserved cut. Hope this helped please someone correct me if im wrong i only discovered SMAA two days ago 😅
This is such a fascinating dynamic to watch, it's neither really pitching, it's two people who are doing good in their respective business and are excited to be working together. Lovely stuff.
This kind of content SHOULD BE MANDATORY IN SCHOOLS! It is EXTREMELY inspiring, because folks get a view under the hood of all these influencers vs their real lives and what their day-to-day looks like. Separates highlights reel social media from real life.
14:28 was a Masterclass in objection handling as you overcame the "what's the cost" and "send me more info" replies before they could bring them up and planted the seed of next call being a Sales without using those words! This is absolute Genius, thanks a lot Iman for sharing these calls...
Brother this is the best authentic upload by a long time, so much to learn and listen to in this. Huge thanks, this helps a lot to structure and build the foundations for a company and how to approach a call with clients. Wishing you the best.
At this point , we should not even call Imam an influencer / Yotuber. This guys is legit a professional , a business man , a guy with a high social quotient , hard working , humble and patient dude. Honestly one of a kind in this crowded space
I know this is an old video but the value provided in this video is insane. I am in the process of creating my own agency providing social media marketing servies to businesses and companies near me. These sales call help me understand how to approach a potential client, building a rapport, how to structure payments, and how to showcase the value my agency can bring to them. Thanks for the raw and authentic insight, Iman!
Hows it going, I seen you comment on Iman’s video, Just wondering how your SMMA is doing at this point in time, it just interests me to see how people are doing after a year of starting a business. Best of luck with it if you are still occupied with it.
Haha wow this brings back a lot of good memories! Was a pleasure working with Iman and the rest of the team. Hope you all agency owners can benefit from this call :)
Very well done. I've been in social media marketing for 15 years, and this is one of the best pitches/approaches/closes I have seen. And, the focus on the numbers, that is great, and a lot of marketers won't do that or do not know how. Well done.
watching this right before I get on a call with a client. Thanks a lot for this call, gave me a lot of good ideas for how to direct the conversation for someone that isn't super experienced with closing.
Just Starting my own SMMA and all the value in the information you have brought me is inestimable. Thank you for taking the time to publish these videos for the people like me who don't have spare income but are obsessed with bettering themselves financially. You are truly irreplaceable
I have been following your journey since 2017 and I can honestly say that I have never watched a video with more value then this one, hope I can get there one day and buy the course haha
Wow! I never thought I would find someone who operates exactly how I imagine. You are such an inspiration to me, especially in how you interact with your clients-it's so genuine. The question you ask, "Why should we work with you?" truly resonates with my ethical thought process. I am more confident now. Salute to you.
The transparency, the allowed look in the details of how this agency operates is next level.I don't have to say where Iman and the level of his business will be in the next 5/10 years,it's evident...
Videos like these are EXTREMELY USEFUL! People who wanted to understand business negotiations used to have to work their tails off for years to secure a job that would allow them to just sit in a room where such talks were taking place and observe. This is now available on RU-vid. Thank you so much for the information. It's quite effective!
he tries to make things so easy for us to understand. Even if we are just getting a feel of the waters in that environment, its still very helpful, almost too much. I feel like the fact that Gadzhi figured it out all himself, i think that alone-process was what really makes him different from others. we see how amazing he is, and we intend to be like him, so bad. so what do we do. we literally stalk him for information. He knows this, because thats what he would have wanted when he was on our phase, BUT like we have him to piggy back on, its like he is holding our hand, therefore, there isnt a "alone-phase" for us, which is what i believe is more crédible than anything to someones success. This way, we get the information and ideas, but do not attain the mindset to come up with them or innovate. Creating is a beautiful thing. idk maybe im tripping, but great video man
Man I don’t even have an agency yet I just wanted to watch this to be a sponge and absorb everything. It’s brilliant to see how you sell and negotiate and I’m only 35 minutes into the video 😅 As I’m watching it’s almost like a flipped job interview. With the client being the in control employer and hiring yourself, yet that quickly changed as the roles reversed so smoothly, you sold yourself and services and then became the employer, you’ve now gained control and now the employer is now the other side of the table and the candidate. They want your services however to secure them they have to fit you and your needs, loved the Hodinkee reference too 👌🏻 Now as I said before I don’t own or know much about agencies and this might be the normal protocol for working with and securing clients however for someone like myself it was brilliant to watch and see. Anyway I’ll carry on with the rest of the video!
Follow up question for Dany on the 2nd part of the video: How do you get the column with percentages? For example, Link Clicks to ATC % , or PV to ATC %. I normally would have to do those numbers manually, but having them there in the platform is helpful af! Thank you again for the dope video!
Thank you so much for uploading this type of video!! A lot of doubts and uncertainties about proper sales calls got cleared in my mind. We hardly find such type of raw and natural content on RU-vid so really really glad sir.
I like that you take a % only above the benchmark which seems fair. I am wondering if it would also work if you lower that benchmark by a certain amount by making a case for their opportunity cost. One of the founders mentioned he spent 3-4 hours a day on doing this and he'd rather spend the time working to grow the business. Doing more than what they could do in-house should definitely be the primary goal but you could get a relatively higher compensation because he values the time he saves outsourcing to your agency. Maybe in your first call, you could ask more details around where exactly he wants to put those hours to and what sort of output (intrinsic and extrinsic) he is aiming to produce. I am saying this because it will be a long term partnership and your profits are recurring on a monthly basis, over the years, there is much more to be made. Especially since you will be investing a good chunk of your total profit back into your business on R&D or whatever and in the financial market. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. But overall, great content Iman! There's a lot of value in your content.
Absolutely gold as this is a recurring client who has an opportunity cost, pitching higher would maximise profit as the client could potentially scale up the buisness with the extra free time he/she possesses instead of running those ads which your taking care off. With a good enough execution this could be possible.
@@Electric.LightningIman explains in his videos how he chooses to charge a low retainer and take a performance fee as when the retainer gets high, the client will start to ask themselves if it’s worth it, even if they’re being brought in 200k more in revenue
These are CRAZY GOLDEN NUGGETS. For non-English speakers like me who want to sell digital marketing services online, this is meant so much. thanks Iman.
Thank you so much for this 🙌🏼 I know it doesn’t get the best views however it’s possibly the most educational videos for all of us 🤎 Please post more videos like this!
I'm so impresed, is icredible how you went from be the one that wanted them as clients, to them wanting your agency, you can see it after the question about culture. You are a really good inspiration Iman.
Man this guy is schooling men into buying his seminar. If these people would really make that much money, they would never sell their secrets online but keep making millions!
Are you still doing the 1 hour meetings? Would love to pick your brain - this video was amazing, listening to it whilst I sunbathe got me hyped and I’ve been searching for the spark! Great work mate
Started my SMMA journey on 23rd Feb and just got done with my first sales call and hopefully he will convert. To everyone starting their SMMA journey, there's only one way to success. BE RUTHLESS WITH COLD MESSAGING. Thank you Iman Gadzhi. Idk how many times I have watched this video. Big up dudeeee!
Can you upload a video of a sales call that did not go well at all ? Or a difficult client, who is hard to negotiate with/work with. I would like to see how you managed that call.
@@vivdoolan6846 yeah thats the down to earth part. Yes its business but sometimes its nice to get away from that super stressful old buisness structure. People like transparency and dealing with HUMANS not buisness robots. Its appealing to the new generation of younger entrepreneurs.
Great video. If the guy with the beard demonstrated more enthusiasm and tonality in his voice while giving the training - it would have been a lot easier and enjoyable to sit through. Thank you.
Really thankful for posting this was super helpful and informative ❤ I hope if you could share so of your old one from your starting and one the way comments on the mistakes that might happen with you in the past and how to avoid it wish all the best and stay safe 😊
Really nice video, Iman! Can you do a video talking about living in London and recommendations for someone who is considering moving there? All the best
