29th SEA Games Organising Committee. Malaysia will host the next edition of the SEA Games in 2017.
Malaysia kicks off a three-part performance, themed Diversity in Motion. Sings by Monoloque and Najwa Mahiaddin. The first part, named Birth, begins with a display of light and shadows, signifying the most ancestral of beliefs.
The second part, Rooted, represents the building of foundations and seeking strength in numbers. The segment celebrates the
aesthetics of athleticism now. The final part, United, depicts the pride of a nation, and celebrates unity in diversity.
*Director and choreographer of Malaysia's contingent Arifwaran Shaharuddin said the performance was designed to be traditional and contemporary, fusing together the country's past and future.
