ULTIMATE BUFFET CHALLENGE?! Today we are at Nashville Tennessee's most famous and well known buffet! Located in Hermitage TN, the Hermitage House Smorgasbord buffet offers southern food and soul food favorites in this ultimate American buffet serving Soul Food in this southern buffet challenge! This famous American buffet became a staple for both locals and tourists apart with their home made items coming out of this Country Kitchen! With items like corn bread, bbq ribs, mac & cheese, meatloaf, collard greens, banana pudding, peach cobbler, fritters, salad bar, fried chicken, and fried fish and so many other delicious items, this was a real hidden gem restaurant! For about $15-$20 a person, this buffet offered lunch and the occasional dinner with different daily specials for 48 years before our visit closing day. I would definitely recommend checking this place out with their endless drinks, great food, amazing salad bar and many bottles of hot sauce; however, they are closed... I know what it feels like when a family run business closes down after many years of amazing business. I lived with in walking distance from a family run bakery that me and my family were regular customers for years. We became good friends with the family who owned it. To this day, I sure do miss it 😢

It's sad when places like this close down. It has a feel to it like you're in someone's home dining room. I'm sure it's going to be missed. It's sad that places like that are closing while people are choosing to eat McDonalds.

This makes me so sad that they closed this place. My hubby & I stop by there every time we are in that area. We live west of Nashville right before Jackson. It’s probably been a couple of years since we’ve been there. Love that fried chicken, one of my favorites from there. Everything was just delicious. I’m so very sad & will definitely miss it there.

So sad they are closing down. Food looks so delicious. My favorite hot sauce is Texas Pete . I add jalapeños to my meatloaf also add them to my hamburgers. We like hot spicy food in our house . Come to South Carolina between Columbia and Charleston. Lots of good food, but don’t know of any challenges because I take a doggie bad with every meal I eat😂❤

To make those cucumbers, peel and slice one cucumber with half a sweet onion, add salt, pepper, a teaspoon of sugar, 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and 3 tablespoons of milk. Sounds odd but that’s Southern cucumbers. Let it sit in the fridge 3-4 hours min or overnight
