Bob talks about personal devices like gaming consoles connecting with user-Id. Since gp/ad/captive portal does not work on most of the consoles what’s the best way to track userid? Would this be a manual assignment with something like the api?
You are correct Erik! Manually via the API is what was primarily discussed. Additionally, non-AD/GP/CP devices could be attributed via a script that parses an IPAM database or you could possibly use syslog filter to parse a DHCP leases log.
