That music you hear was also used for WOR-TV’s “Million Dollar Movie” which was a fixture for channel 9 back in the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Since I still have this VHS set, I just got the soundtrack on vinyl today, and it was a 1967 release of the same name on the MGM Records label. It was originally released in 1939. The music for the soundtrack album was later used for WOR-TV’s “Million Dollar Movie” in the 1970’s and 1980’s and it was a staple for channel 9.

I just ordered this VHS from eBay today. After two days where HBO Max pulled the plug on this beloved classic due to racists depictions, I decided to get it myself.

The ending plays one of the pivotal part of the movie. She eventually turned onto a mature individual. She only get it after Rhet leaving her. It's inspiring and classic though they are tons of irony in it. I'd 😢 love to think 🧐😢 that Rhet soon coming back to her; even if it is not the case. Amicable settlement

I fell asleep watching this ending after seeing it for 4 straight hours. This is why I don’t like long movies. It was on HBO Max for the last two weeks until it got removed due to racist depictions according to the news that just came out this week. I was upset to see this classic go from HBO Max. Thanks to George Floyd’s death, and the “Black Lives Matter” protest, and of course, Hattie McDaniel was the first black actress to received an Oscar for this film who played Mammy, and I don’t see her character being as offensive as it gets.
