Elena’s reaction is incredibly human. Almost like these aren’t just characters in a game. You could see and hear her terror and desperation to get away from Cloud.
If I remember correctly, cloud was gonna kill him on his own free will he wasn’t being controlled like he was here, but whispers stopped cloud from killing Reno.
I don’t understand the ethics in this game no one blinks an eye when we take down soooo many troopers but when it comes to the turks who LITERALLY brought down the plate we can’t kill them cuz?? Its too brutal??? Nah i was telling cloud to set them on fire in this scene
I think it’s more the fact, that the Turks were defeated at this point. They, the heroes, fight because they have to but cold blooded murder on a defeated opponent under trapped rubble is a bit much. Especially they know cloud is losing his mind. Twice at this point Tifa saw Cloud butcher opponents because he could not because he had to.
@@boopnoodle6947 Self-defense. Killing them because they engaged in a battle is ultimately an inevitability. But if they were beaten or willing to surrender, Cloud and the others wouldn't go for the kill. There was a certain line that they tried to abide by. But Cloud is crossing those lines because of Sephiroth's influence.
That is true, amount of dirty on her hands must be astronomical even for a new recruit. Elena does everything by the book so you know she carries out orders like a guard dog.
@@vigor9675cloud and Zack never harmed innocent lives unlike the Turks. Both cloud and Zack joined shinra to be heroes and protect the weak, the Turks are just assholes most of the time.
Elena must have done something terrible to cloud in his past life. after he die multiple times. can not stop watching this clip. hated the turks, even from the OG version.
I know they were following orders but to think that they already did so much damage to Cloud and the others, Rude and Reno might not have completed the mission but they went to the end, it took so many lives, not that Elena should have been spared in this scene. Even if she hadn't died, she could have been seriously injured. Other characters didn't have the same empathy, the villains are getting too many chances.
Why the hell would they NOT kill the 3 of them given the chance? Think the Turks would ever repay the favor? Save yourself the exact same fight in the future multiple times maybe? ugh. At this point I'm surprised they didn't retcon the entire sector seven disaster they are so adverse to death.
It drives me nuts how soft all the protagonists in this game are. The Turks are their enemy. They have fought and tried to kill them OVER and OVER and OVER, yet every time that they have a chance to end them, soft-hearted Aerith refuses. Same with when Red XIII wanted to go end Hojo. She stopped him. WHY?! She even says that she hates Hojo. So why not let Red rip his freaking head off?! It's so stupid. At some point here, they're going to have to kill the bad guys.
I guess it’s one of those unnamed rules or cliches of being a hero where the villains can just monologue and escape with the heroes making a lame excuse or half assed gesture to try and stop them and failing.
With regards to the Turks, they are badguys and are acting under orders... but our team isn't evil. And they can see the good in the Turks, even if the Turks can't see it in them. Do you really feel like Elena, specifically, has done enough to warrant death? That seems a bit extreme.
Are we sure the Turks aren’t getting redemption arcs in Part 3? Cause I’m getting the impression for myself that they’ll be getting redemption arcs in Part 3…
I just thought of something…well more like a observation. Cloud looks at Reno, and rude but he decides to go after Elena. I was confused and wondered why her?
So in case some of you didn't know, Elena's gun isn't exactly unrealistic. Maybe it's not a one-to-one In terms of a real world firearm, but seeing these exotic, colorful cosmetics is actually very common for gun owners. Especially wealthy ones. I've seen a bunch of people have Nerf themed AR-15s so seeing Elena do this doesn't surprise me at all lol.
It's a nice gun, I'll give you that. But the engraving gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever. Unless you were planning to auction it off as a collector's item.
@@medicfdumbo It doesn't have to because the idea is to personalize your firearm. You can find a ton of gun community. RU-vidrs showing off their custom pieces which where they would not only repaint the gun and magazine, but also engrave it and embedded with jewels and stuff. You're right, it doesn't provide a tactical advantage, but it doesn't have to so Long as it's still operational.
"YOU HAVE TO BE AN ABSOLUTE MONSTER, AND THEN CONTROL IT" - Somebody Sombodysson Cloud is a hero. He's better than a SOLDIER. He surpassed both Zack and Sephiroth. He's an absolute beast in Advent Children, slaying Bahamut SIN all on his own, tossing Kadaj around like the whiny little girl he is. I can't get over the scene in AC where he's hiding in the church and you can hear Cloud's Fenrir rumbling and roaring from the outside. No, once Cloud controls himself he is a titan.
STOP PLEASE??? who stopped all THESE minigames? Who stopped all that nasty calls from Chadley? WHO STOPPED THE CAIT SITH PART IN SHINRA´S MANSION? SORRY TIFA, I CAN´T STOP NOW
Its funny because yes it looks a lot better in the other mode in the open world but fights look 100x better in 60fps so its such a weird thing to point out also the cutscenes are pre rendered fgs so it wouldn't actually matter. (It switches the modles out in cutscenes)
I'm a fan of FFVII and retro games in general. And even I see that the graphics are heavily outdated for PS5. I wouldn't say anything if the game wasn't $70, lol
