I Own the v2 of the MCH (mode 1-5 configurable). And I did a similar thing- utilized Ranger Wrap (500D) on the body. Had no idea about using ML or SF 18650’s and the wear and tear produced. Good catch, I’ll have to invest in a couple more of CD’s proprietary batteries then. Great video…👍🏽
First review showing the light piercing tinted windows!! Also the first review I have seen punching through oncoming light sources; i.e. headlights!! Exactly what I wanted to see. Shirt and to the point! No unnecessary talking about meaningless topics!

So refreshing to see a video that does not waste my time by begging me to subscribe, time-wasting intros, splash screens, background music, failed attempts at wit and humor, etc. His presentation is so well-rehearsed, too, as if he were reading it off a teleprompter. Other hosts who demo other products on RU-vid should follow his style which means getting to the point quickly.
1) The Modlite 18650 run time is 75 minutes, and the 18350 model is 35 minutes. One of the biggest issues with CD is the extreme and rapid decrease in lumens and candela due to thermal regulation. After 30 seconds it drops over 20% in candela rating. This is a well documented characteristic with CD lineups. Never mind the fact CD admitted their ratings are obtained from measuring instantaneous peak candela and lumens. Which is not how ANSI/PLATO FL1 specs are to be obtained. Look at Werkz Holsters as they do some of the most in depth, objective reviews. For reference the Modlite OKW beats the MCH and Rein 2.0 lineups in candela.
interesting. I didnt watch that video so my thoughts on the light wouldnt be altered as this review was my experience with the light. I don't normally have to run it for longer than 30 seconds and its runtime being what it is still makes it far more useful as a utility tool than a weapon light. Practical use it still makes sense to me and all my other guns have modlites bolted to them so for 100$ i'd say its still pretty solid. not a fan of companies lying about specs though
@@autonomousdefense I won’t argue with you for what works for you. However I guess I’d like to humbly provide you my unsolicited thoughts. You never know what situation you may be in. We as EDC’ers can not control the environment so to be limited in light output due poor design/ insufficient parts is aggravating and alarming. Nevermind the slick, cheap feeling if the light that heats up a lot faster than any other light I’ve used. CD has been at the whipping post many times due to shady practices. Example is when they had preorders for a product, waited a year and they were advised they were still R&Ding. Essentially they used the funds as an interest free loan to test products. In the MCH price areas I’d recommend Weltool, and Malkoff/Arisaka.
