I completed and cleared the GCP CDL Certification yesterday and I must say, the actual 10hr course on Udemy was extremely useful to lay a strong foundation of the cloud concepts. It is slow paced, very detailed, almost like a live classroom session. But I would also add that I additionally also viewed a 6hr training video on RU-vid by Andrew Brown from Exampro. He covered the details in a manner that is in sync with the way exam questions were formulated ( most of them scenario based). However, Andrew's video is fairly fast paced and it would not have been helpful had my concepts not been clear. So thanks a lot, Ranga. You are a great teacher 👍🏻

I completed the Google CDL examination two weeks ago.. Rangas Udemy video is good but I would recommend you to spend more time on Google's own documentation.. Questions are based on these docs ... Also most of the questions are based on use cases

@@dhrumilbhayani6561 I spent time in reading google docs in cloudskillboost portal of Google .. most of the questions are coming from these tutorials .. plus prepare a GCP product cheat sheet to know most of the services .. a lot of questions are based on strategy of migrating to cloud from on promise such as lift and shift , green field , brown field etc .. data analytics are also important .. security and governance questions are there .. trust me , none of the questions in the dump came up in the exam ..DO NOT trust dumps ..all the best

Fortunately, this checks out. Initially, I took it as minimum servers (= serverless) which it's not necessarily wrong but it's not technically right. It's almost there. Like he said, it's in the background where we don't have to worry about it. In other words, it does its thing and we don't have to interact with it. Technicalities aside, I wasn't too far off. Practically, I sort of had the general idea.✌🏽😜 59:31 I never thought about SaaS (or any XaaS) like that. In respect to what are you doing *to* or *in* a platform, infrastructure or service. For example, in Gmail: What are you doing or what can you do? How are you setting up your “Service”? You are viewing your emails and can configuring it via its features to remove spam or block out or filter certain recipients. This is what _Software as a Service_ is about - you only need to concern yourself about the application(s)/software etc., and let the provider take care of the rest which are the platform or hardware and infrastructure if I'm reading into it correctly to resonate with 1:02:00-1:03:07. This all pertains to how we read the (...aaS) _as a Service_ models. 🤔

My personal experience of CDL exam, nothing from here came in the exam!! The exam is more on Use cases, benefits of services to an organisation. This video is very generic and gives a very high level view.
