I have had the Isolo for a few months now and have used it on several gigs. You do have to set it up to your personal preference, but once you do, to me, it is as good as any wireless setup on the market!! I have always used the Shure GLXD14R W/BETA98HC. Woodwindroom, as far as the "clipping" for the Isolo, the included windscreen will help with that.....a lot. and slightly backing the mic off of the bell. This is a VERY live mic, which I love, but, again, it takes getting everything adjusted to your preference. It is an all in one package. I agree with you that I would have loved a reverb/delay combo for one of the settings. My thoughts.........for what it's worth :) Saxalot, Rich

Richard Walker thx for your feedback! I did back off the mic as far as possible with still maintaining the „centered“ sound of the bell. I did not check the windscreen though but will do! Thx!

Great review. I've been on the fence about buying one. Looking for a smaller mic to use when switching between horns. Especially soprano. It looks (and sounds) like this will be a good solution. I do play loud though, but read the comment about the windscreen helping with the clipping. Thanks again.

Great review and playing. Would it be possible to use a separate delay unit coming off the receiver (using reverb) going into the board. Thereby having both effects?

George Sax actually I did not test the range in detail. I did use the mic in „near mode“ on several gigs in the meantime though. walking off stage with the mic turned on. never had any dropouts yet.

@@GeorgeSax Oh wow. Didn't know there's such a difference in price!! I`m not a dealer but I's suggest to check out www.sax-ess.de/shop/#cc-m-product-8723715486 . Say hi from me. I guess he might ship to SA too... (?). If you order, spend the extra few dollars on the USB-interface. This makes my day so much easier at the moment :)

Danilo Piccioni Hi! No, is has no XLR-out that could be phantom powered. It uses 9V via USB. So either computer or USB-Adapter to power socket.

Thanks ! But I can attach the receiver to my PA system to play it loud via the speaker system. Correct? I have a cheaper Bose system with the speaker tower but it does not have phantom. Thanks I’m advance! Great in depth review. God I wish I could play half as good as you do ! 💯
