Confession time: I didn’t feel like going out to make photos for this video. The weather was gray, I was tired from a stressful couple of weeks of life and I was just feeling lazy. But, I headed in to Bellevue again for photos anyway. Here’s why: First, I know myself well enough to know that if I skip a week, it’s really easy to skip a second week, then a third week and so on…. The inertia of NOT doing something is pretty powerful. Second, I reminded myself that part of the discipline of improving in a craft is DOING the craft, even when you don’t feel like it. There’s really no substitute for time spent with a camera in hand to improve as a photographer. And, third: from a practical standpoint, I know that regular care and feeding of content on RU-vid helps with discovery and overall channel health. Plus, some of you have become regulars here, and I really enjoy our conversations!
