The monkey translator at the end is one of the most heartfelt moments in animation. Not just because we get to hear his father speaking eloquently, but because at the end, he consciously told Flint he loved him, not metaphors needed!
This movie knew what it wanted to be: A wacky, nonsensical adventure that had a nice message of be yourself, don't hide yourself or change yourself for others, and keep trying to improve and learn from and fix your mistakes rather than giving up.
I read the book when I was a kid as well, but I was less than enthused by the fact that the premise was completely different except for the food weather. I was so glad that I was pleasantly surprised by the film though and actually enjoy it.

I will never STOP telling people to watch "Mitchells vs Machines". The best animated film of the year when it came out, IMO. I've watched it so many times because I see new things every time. That should be watched WAY before "Into the Spiderverse". Just sayin'.
Not only do they make the T shape in the tortilla chip Earl crashes through, but his haircut is the exact opposite of Mr. T; all the hair is on his head except for the T right in the middle. Also I’ve heard they actually offered NPH the lead role, but he thought it would be more challenging to play Steve
I think all of the Tinkerbell movie a great. In fact, the 4th movie is almost like Frozen with Tinkerbell find out she have a sister at the winter area of the island

The implications of this movie is insane. Notice that the food doesn’t rot. It’ll keep piling up and the machine will keep taking in water. Soon all the water will be used up
It's so gratifying seeing all these creators collaborate and be successful. I only got into reaction content a little over a year ago, so it's super exciting to see y'all get more popular!! Mr. Video is a cool dude, too. Maybe he was a bit of a smaller channel months ago, but his subs are rising steadily and i see people quoting and name-dropping him in various comments across Reaction RU-vid. 😍
When you mentioned about Sony not standing out their more recent movies are pretty great! I thought I saw a reaction of yours for the spider verse, but if not, definitely check that one out!That and the Mitchell’s vs the Machines is a great movie
The funniest part was 27:45 when you went on to suggest that little kids care about getting "a great job that makes you a lot of money", lol! When I was a little kid I cared about chocolate milk, cookies, what tree I was going to climb and girls. By teenage years it was mostly the first and last of those.
this is based off of one of my favorite books when I was a kid (by the same name) and when I first heard about it, I was kind of annoyed that the premise is almost nothing like the book. I gave the movie a chance anyway and I'm glad that I did because I genuinely enjoy this movie and some of the themes, like being proud of who you are despite what others think. great reaction, as always. ❤️

To me the first one is better, but the second one is pretty cute and had a cool concept as far as expanding the thing they can do with food. Also, Steve! Hope you watch it. Sony use to have a couple bangers I liked too unfortunately I never saw them continue production which they should. Only thing Sony I recall recently is the hotel Transylvania series. At least I think that's Sony.
Ironically, both films, while enjoyed critically, one notable RU-vidr critic that I admire the most is not a fan of these films and the second one is considered as one of the worst animated films of all time in the past specific decade along with the emoji movie 🤷♀️
Sony animation has had a loooot of misses when it comes to their movies, but every once in a while they bring out a great one, like Spider-Man: Into the spiderverse and Hotel Transylvania. Recently they also released The Mitchells vs the Machines. That movie is amazing and spoke to me personally a lot. It has to be up there in my top 10 personal favourites. If they keep going like this, they might become bigger and bigger.
