It was a privilege. I was a small time radio journalist with Abu Dhabi Radio. Cloughie brought the whole Forest team out to rest up before a European Cup Final. After the interview, which was entirely unrehearsed, he introduced me to the team and ‘befriended’ me for the next two days. His last words to me which I will never forget were: ‘Let me know when you’re famous, Chris!’ - which became the title of my autobiography sold on Amazon. I did not become famous.
