This one was my favorite because it starts off with Clouseau coming home after a long day, he just got blown up, and he tries to call off the attack. “Cato? Catooooo? I’m calling off the attack. No ambush tonight. I’ve had a very long day…”
Clouseau's original orders to Cato was to attack him wherever and whenever he least expects it. By calling off the attack, Clouseau's guard would be down, which would be the perfect time for Cato to attack.

When I was a kid my parents took me to see the Pink Panther movie. I thought it was a cartoon with a pink panther. I was sorely disappointed when the film started.
Cato sure is committed. He broke into the apartment below, stacked all the remodeling supplies, climbed it while holding a saw, then waited for Clouseau to be in position.
This much is certain...none of the homeowner's insurance agents in France are willing to take Clouseau's calls (and even if they were, most of them wouldn't be able to understand him anyway). Any homeowner's insurance agent foolish enough to approach Clouseau as a potential client would soon be driven mad just like poor Chief Inspector Dreyfus. Seriously...is it really any wonder that the apartment below his is empty?? He already damaged a neighboring apartment in one of the earlier films...!
these 2 were the original spongebob and sandy when it came to kara-TAY shinanigans. its funny that clouseaou is always digilant and on full alert w/ cato but it never works for him in real life when he needed those skills while doing his investigations.
