I think itll take a month and people will realize her potential. Ive seen people use the ult really badly and some clutch the round with it. So many top fragging cloves yesterday in my lobbies
I’d rather have a broken agent come out then an weak agent because it gives valorant content creators something to make content on. Many recent agents that have came out have felt very weak so its hard to make content out of them.
I do agree that clove is a bit broken only because she’s the first agent that after death they’re able to do something, it feels very outside of the box and unique but I don’t know how to feel about it competitively
Clove is a very balanced playstyle, you just need to get used to it. All characters that are added. People say this about every character that was added. Deadlock, Gecko. in the end its just getting used to it
She is not that broken. Her abilities and overall playstyle works much like Reyna, with almost all of her abilities being selfish and in my opinion kind of weak. Her smokes have the shortest duration of all the controllers with smokes, her decay ability isn't that good, her overheal is way too short so most of the time it just decays and her ult works much like a Pheonix ult, where you can just hide from the ult until it dies She may seem broken because she's fun, but she's not broken. She's maybe more potent in low elo, much like Reyna, but she's not broken.
I think your peak rank is plat if you think clove isn't good . She is broken af . She has the largest smoke range which regens too . Her decay is super good support util as you can easily kill anyone in rat corner with it . Her overheal is okish and her ult is broken you can get space as a fucking controller just push die respawn push again with whole team behind you . Even if you die again guess what you can still use your fucking smoke . Riot doesn't really understand what makes a character balanced they just throw in an agent and improve balance overtime and this is the case for every agent on release they are either broken or useless piece of shit no one touches
Nah clove is great, but they aren’t broken. They are slightly more limited as a smoke agent than omen is. Their decay is very situational, the overheal is dope but you only get 1, and her self res is only useful in medium to long range encounters, also she will die after around 13 seconds if she doesn’t get a kill.
I'd rather seeing an interesting character than a boring one. Balancing problem happens all the time and in other games too and it's the devs' job to fix them. I think that they shouldn't be discouraged to create fun and unique characters because of the fear of making mistakes.
clove is not broken. clove is just a more agressive duelist, that will be much more enjoyable to play than other duelists, shes just different lol, not necessarily better.
First release of chamber, was just BROKEN, - Op that shoots as fast as a marshal - tp that allows you to basically rotate instantly or use to reposition. - 2 pretty nice trips
Bro, finally someone will pick smoke. She is not that broke how people think. Yes, ability to smoke after death powerful, buttttt not that much cuz this ability has range, about self res... Just one word :"phoenix" . And about other abilities... They boring.
First off, smoke class isnt boring, and its more picked than initiator as of right now. second off, while clove is so much better than the last two new characters, they arent broken. People need to learn how to play against them. and her ult is overhyped, prob gonna be nerfed anyways.
My take on pickrate is that not picking smoke is always a throw so it always gets picked but it is almost always the last picked thing in my lobbies. You can skip initiator tho and do something else because flashes are in other classes
Also when I think about iso and my initial reaction to his kit it didnt sound even close to as good. You can counter his shield with jiggle peaking/wall banging. 1v1 lobby as an ult still requires you to be better. Self ult just has such high clutch potential.
the self res is just situational ult i die and there no one there im dead and another thing that happened when i was playing with a clove is that you can just hide
Get the point you trying to make. It’s definitely annoying dealing with smokes off death but it can easily be fixed and I think it will be and clove will never be what chamber once was
I do not see Clove as being anywhere near as powerful as Chamber. They're just going to be another Iso, overhyped for a few weeks, and then bottom pickrates for another season.
IDK bro i keep getting smoked off after clove has died from the point and its really infuriating I think the jury is still out but I really dont like what I see so far
Smoking is super important to the game. Being able to die and still smoke is like having another duelist because you dont sit in the back waiting to use util.
