Finally conclusive proof that this isn't Sam Gendel and Louis Cole. This show is in Europe; those guys live in America. Those places aren't the same at all and very far apart.
ME: Well maybe they could have traveled. CIA HANDLER: Have you got a lock on the target? CIA AGENT: Affirmative, sir! ME: As much as Louis Cole travels, he and Sam could have purchased airplane... CIA HANDLER: FIRE! ME: *lol dead*
I hate to say it but this video released 2 months ago europe, which i assume was the start of their european tour, i live in ireland, and im going to see louis cole TOMORROW Checkmate my guy🤣
@kevin cullen yeah, well not only did I see Knower last September and Clown Core in February, I'm going to see LC in Manchester on Wednesday and London on Friday! ;o)
I believe the truth and beauty of Clown Core is that it encompasses the whole of our existential dread and re-gifts it as the shitty joke that it always was.
I feel strange, normally totally relate to metal live vibes. Been telling people to listen to Clown Core so many times. But for some reason, and I can't explain why, I would just love to sit down and enjoy them live in a quiet audience. Then again, might feel totally different when I actually get to see them live (if ever).
@@eeyoreyeen I don't recall saying anything about moshing being reserved to metal or not. Just said that I would love to see clown core live with a more reserved audience.
Wrong. Imagine thinking this is good. Problem with music nowadays is shit like this is appreciated and held in reverence. It's what we would call USB music back in the day for edm shit. Shtitty drumming, sax is a jumbled mess of sounds, using a keyboard to make the overused sounds in abudance. All in all, fuck all in this. And "Clown core", name or not is funny to me. As in a laughing at them, not with them approach. Hardly heavy, hardly anything musically, just a bunch of clownhorns out of structure, hence could never be in structure outside of comedy. So all in all, these guys wish they were like Yucko the Clown. Talent, be it comedic, or musically, anything where talent can reside, they'd take it. This was a copy paste of a shitty comment made earlier. Clown core is easy to hate, hell anything is with no talent, plus they are fucking garbage. Funny way of spelling it considering you are spelling it with an "A" instead of a "G", unless you are thinking about Ass. Then sure. Ass-awe.
Not necessarily my normal thing, but I have to give it to these guys, some of the most original stuff I've seen in quite a while. I would love to experience it live! Infectious groove.
As ridiculous and brilliant as Clown Core can be! This is truly "performance art" in the original sense of the term. Great work on the lights and visuals, with white tux and tails!
The culture editor at the New York Times needs to send their jazz reviewer an unmarked package containing a single ticket, a pair of earplugs, and $500
Once the damn box finally opened up, it was pretty cool. Catchy pulsating opening riff and killer use of the lights! Beats playing inside a van, I guess. Nice to see them getting some attention.
6:12 onward blew my mind when I first heard it. I thought he was going to play the solo he plays in the album version but this guy got chops to spare 😂
I'm very happy with how well it came out considering it was shot on a cheap phone. I'm not a big fan of gig videos but this was a once in a lifetime experience that I travelled a thousand miles to see so there was no way I was leaving without some record... and it turned out as good as this
I know this may seem unpossible but they’re genuinely very, very talented musicians. The rhythm section is a two-for-one deal and the sax playing is sublime. I’m on the moon.
I came looking for this comment! When I studied French in middle school, we (American kids) saw a video that showed a boulangerie window full of books titled "PAIN" and laughed our asses off. :D
Made total sense when I found out the drummer is Louis Cole and Sax Player is Sam Gendel. Knower is tight, but Louis has so many different facets to his style and gets to really exploit that here. They need to open for Muele!
Goddamn, thank you for sharing this. I'll probably never get to see Clowncore live, but I hope they do more shows. They seem better live, and that's just amazing.
I absolutely love how this barely fits into any genre. When people talk about chords being reused in hundreds of songs Clown Core will never be part of that conversation and I Fucking love it
what the fuck did I just witness? Did I just witness clowns ACCURATELY expressing emotions thru music? With conventional and *CLOWN* instruments? And there is only TWO of them ? Yes. Yes I did. At first I was like wtf did I stumble upon? This can't be real. Then the porta potty walls drop. And then .... amazingness....
Thank you for posting this up, not bad quality too for being shot with a tater. I am an old rocker just discovering CC and other bands from around the world, and though not a heavy metal fan per-se, with a few of the old school exceptions, I started my rabbit hole this time with VOB a few months back, fantastic group, which oddly(or not) lead me to these folks, and man they do put on a show and a half! Latest find exploring was Viagra Boys, seriously wtf thrashing, entertaining as fk!
I'm old enough to love the old classic stuff but DAMN if there's not a lot of amazing music out today if you're willing to relax and just vibe with it. Love these clowns!
If you like Clowncore you should check out the drummer's other projects, they are literally all insane. His name is Louis Cole, he does solo stuff as well as being in a band called Knower.. but for starters you should look up "Vulfpeck Louis Cole It Gets Funkier IV", epic video 🥲
@@lindboknifeandtool Agree, frantically bizarre, but in a kinda good way, the vid I watched of them making noisy music in a parking lot stuck in my head a few years back, I'm glad they've carried on.
It's like I'm cursed to miss concerts by several weeks. I missed PUP live back in September because I wasn't into them until October. I missed Clown Core by 2 weeks because I didn't see their video that was 10 months old until then. But at least I'll see Ne Obliviscaris in November.
it takes watching 10 seconds of Lois Cole in his live sesh vids to conclude that this is, in fact, him. His playing style is exactly the same. his arms look the same through the costume. Even the video styles are exactly the same. Clowncore is 100% brilliance and talent. My life is forever better having heard them.
The fact that Genevieve said in an interview that her favourite band is Clown Core and that's clearly her standing to stage left confirms this in case it wasn't already obvious enough.
@@bigfacedboy Thanks for sharing these two videos. Not sure how I stumbled upon this, and unsure of what I just watched, but it’s fucking awesome. I imagine this is pretty intense as a live performance, and quite the sensory overload to take it in all at once. Looking forward to finding out more about them. Good stuff!
Great video,! Nice work and great editing. I love clown core. It seems like you might be into the same things that I am.. give a peek and check out the mystery. Have you seen him? Cool video, keep up the great work
Just excellent. I was expecting that box to be a large porta-potty though. Andy Kaufman-esque. Shades of The Nairobi Trio. Super artistic. As good as the videos, and I would go to see them!
Kinda crazy that these guys I first saw playing a weird Christmas carol at a confused old couple on RU-vid like 15 years ago are playing in Paris. PARIS, FRANCE!
