So many of you send me messages asking me to show you how I make my Wax Melt Snap Bar Labels from Scratch. Well, here you are.

Whichever Label Programme you use you will hopefully be able to find a template that will work for this label.
I've been using PrintShop for 15 years but am unable to any longer because it is not compatible with the latest versions of Mac.
So today I had to start afresh and I am using the Online Labels program:-

IMPORTANT:
When you buy images to use on your labels when selling products you MUST check that the
images you buy are Royalty-Free PLUS will need to buy a license for that image, depending on
what you want to do with it, the price will be whatever the seller chooses.
The most I have paid for such licensed images is approx £50!
If you are not selling products with these images on, then you can pick them up for around
£3.50 per set, for personal use.
ETSY has thousands of great affordable downloadable options.

The CLP information on Oasis Oils is in alphabetical order from left to right just in case you haven't realised yet. Thank you for the video and information, extremely helpful to us new to the candle and melt area.

Hi Karen, so nice of you to share this info. One tip I use for things I can’t copy and paste ( like your CLP info) is to copy and paste document to your computer on word or pages and save it to the desktop which I can then transfer and save to the images folder in Maestro. You have to copy and paste it twice but it saves you from having to type out the whole thing and editing your typos etc.

Just a quick note, you don’t need those candle pictograms for wax melts they are for candles only. A lot of the fragrance oil company’s usually have the clp template for candles so us wax melt makers just need to take the candle ones off and also each warning pictograms must be a minimum of one centimetre along each side x

I find the maestro program really awquard. I usually use Canva & Avery but I’ve bought new labels from online labels now & my originals don’t seem to marry up for some reason. Labels are a real bain. X

Bless your cotton socks. Very informative and explained in lay mans terms. One question tho. I normally use an 8% Fl, does this have to be stated instead of the 10%. I have moved another step forward to starting my business.

I’ve wondered that myself but the information is not supplied but I would presume if you were using 8% you would write 8% then the rest of the info as it is supplied

Declaring the % itself is generally accepted as not needed on the label, as long as you're using the correct CLP from the oil company. Most will have a CLP example for 10% and 12%, so you need to use the one that's at or higher than what you use. So if you're using 10% or less you'd use the 10% info, but if you go over you'd need the 12% label. I hope that made sense!

🌺Even after 7.5yrs of owning a business Making & Selling Soy Candles + Soy Melts & Natural Body Products Incl Organic Soaps etc I can still learn off you. Iv used Avery but haven’t liked it much so iv been lazy n used Vistaprint to create from their images/backgrounds. 🌸I thank you very much for sharing your Tips & Tricks. 🌼Where did you get your foil labels? 🌻Can the Foil labels be printed out by a Inkjet printer?

Thanks so much. I make the foil labels, as I said in the video, I take this label that I printed then I foil them. No, The foil doesn't stick to the inkjet very well.
