Johnny the photo guy here - absolutely loved the video and thanks so much for the kind words. I regard it as a privilege to be able to document the season for you and all of the other Club100 racers
Awesome Video mate! Glad to see you've enjoyed your first season! I was a Novice champs entrant in 2021 for my first season in Club100 and absolutely loved every second of it! Moved over to the Sprints this year(2022), and moving up to Class 2 next season. I found the pack spread in the novice to be quick wide when you got into the races, so regardless of what pace you had, you most likely had someone to race and rival all season. JV runs such a well oiled event every time, and the entire paddock is super sociable! The karts are impeccably maintained are like nothing else really. Echoing everyone else.... Just sign up! It'll be the best racing you'll have done if all you've had is rentals!
Hi actually a Super-Cadet here, moving into Junior Lights next year, but if you have the money to be able too you absolutely must take part in Club100, the community is really kind and JV is an absolute lad, and will always help if you need; and if you're not sure if you are ready to drive a kart yet, just have a couple go's at your local track, and if you do alright there just op into a practice session and you're on your way. In short, just sign up and if you're a bit crap just have fun!
Great video! I've signed up for the 6 races in the Novice championship for next year, done a couple test sessions this year and really enjoyed it, can't wait to get back in the karts !
This video is titled so well as I'm debating whether to go into it myself. Only done one test and that was at Buckmore last weekend. Lucky I got time to decide :D
Nice! I'm hearing the Novice has been very popular this year, but keep an eye on the Club 100 Instagram and they will post if they have any availability ahead of rounds that you could jump in for :)
@@ejayAD missed this! Haha thanks!! Was not expecting it whatsoever!! Just found some pace from somewhere! Makes me more excited for next season! Do you think youll enter the sprints next year?
@@SMorrisHD Nice one :) My 'main' entry next year is not for the main champs, I've put in for the Intermediate Experience, partly as I've got a mate entering the Novice, and partly for budget reasons. But I might try and get entries to try Sprints or SP60s at the rounds more local to me e.g. Whilton, Shennington...
Entered last year as a total novice, then found that the "novice" championship is anything but. No-one is vetted beforehand (JV's words) and so I found myself competing against seasoned series winners... Well over half the field were competitors with some serious experience.. in a novice championship?? So much for entering in the spirit of fair competition.. If you're a genuine novice then, on the plus side you'll get lots of exposure to the level you need to perform at - but forget any idea of being at the front - that's reserved for the "pot hunters" looking for an easy trophy..
It's an interesting point. I have thought about this a bit, I think what I say in this video is fair - the standard is really high even in the 'Novice' champs and like they say it's intended for people new to Club 100 but not competitive karting. I hope people who join in don't get too disheartened going up against really quick folks. After talking to some people at the first round this year I talk a bit about it making a new 'Novice to Intermediate' video - I wonder if they could have some sort of recognition for a true 'Rookie' class within the Novice champs to highlight those coming in fresh, or something like that!
