could the frame be bent? In a previous video you said the frame was broken at the brake pedal mount. It had to take a hard hit to break the frame. could it have pulled the frame back slightly? Great video by the way. I have a DS Carryall 6, I had to put a wheelbase extension kit on mine so the front tires would not hit the frame while turning.
Same brake cables front and back. The rear ones were long enough for the lift and the front ones were crossed at the front but I uncrossed them in the last video and attached them.
The lift couldve been with all the old bushings. I replaced the bushings with the poly bushings in the front. The rear looked decent, however time will tell and I might replace them at a later time. You know im in a crunch but this is probably going to replace my big one.
I appreciate the videos that you put out. When you use the products on your video would you consider adding a link to where we can purchase these items?
Don't get discouraged my friend. We enjoy the content even if it doesn't work right the first time. I know i usually have to battle through stuff too. Makes us smarter and more patient which may be why we go through it anyway.
Thanks for sharing the struggle bus story. I’m about to hop on it as I try to figure out how to mount some suspension, and I know I’m gonna be ordering parts just to have to return and so on… portions of failure will be inevitable. Hopefully with some dedication like you shared we can get there as well. 👍🏼
Way to hang in there and keep plugging, if it was easy everyone would be doing it. In the short time I’ve been playing around with carts I found front ends and alignment issues are the most challenging. Especially in club cars.
Ryan, I really feel your frustration. Going back to the beginning of the video and watching it carefully I noticed a couple things. (Now remember I just got through putting back together my "totaled" cart from where the truck hit me). 1) Things seemed to be moving at odd angles while jacking the front end or something had a lit of lost motion and moving around. 2) Based on the difference in spacing between the tire and frame, something is bent or mislocated. I ended up replacing everything except the frame rails because it was all twisted including the original lift kit heavy steel frame. As long as your tires are the same height, the gap should be the same. If it isn't, your cart is going to crab walk down the road. Find a common spot near the rear of the cart and measure forward to the suspension. My guess is something is off..... Enjoy this beautiful weather
