Terrible customer service both calling in to ask about your reservation and the service at Cancun in general. Food is mediocre, entertainment is ok, activities are run by people who think their poo doesn't stink. Like they're doing you a favor to let you take out a kayak. Will not return to Club Med as there are better options for "all inclusive" vacations.
We're back from our fourth and final holiday at CM Cancun. I'll conclude in agreement with @BrianLannoye that the service is pretty sub-par. We fought battles on trying to change Aquamarina rooms because we couldn't get the A/C under 27 degrees C, and also on organizing our departure time. Confirmed that GOs don't ask to sit dinner with GMs (which we used to enjoy) and instead sit in their own staff groups taking up tables in the crowded dining rooms. I also agree that the entertainment has really slipped: almost nothing for adults as it seems the resort focus has shifted strongly to kids. The biggest disappointment on this trip was on the Pickleball courts. The guy that runs the tennis centre CLEARLY has no interest in supporting Pickleball--almost dismissive of our interest in playing. Two of the four days we played, the court manager directed young kids and their parents to take their tennis rackets and balls down to the Pickleball courts; total chaos with these families smashing tennis balls around the little Pickleball area. I will say the food was so much better this year than our post-Covid trip last November: great variety, fresh, imaginative. The pluses of this resort: the Aguamarina oceanfront suites, the enormous area of the resort, the activities (when the GOs aren't being snobbish or dismissive) and the food, but the service is really lacking in some important areas, and it is no longer designed for couples or families with adult children.
