Throwback to 2002 and the second disc of my ‘Clubbers Guide to Breaks Vol. 2’ release! This was probably my personal fave of the two. Its sound was rooted in many of the tracks I played at bar gigs at the time or simply bought for my own personal enjoyment. It’s been so long since I’ve heard this mix that I put it on and actually enjoyed it for the first time ever as a listener. Even better I had completely forgotten so many of these tunes! No doubt this was due largely to the fact that this disc wasn’t about capturing the big tunes of the time. In fact it’s quite amazing that so many of these tunes made it on a mainstream CD release put out by a big label like Minsitry of Sound and I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity to bring such relatively unknown music, music that I really loved, to a much wider audience.
